I have an Evic VT that will do that occasionally. For no reason at all it will just stop working and no matter how many times you click it, nothing. As soon as i plug in the charge cable it will like wake up and act right but still, it is frustrating.

I have at the moment two Disrupters, two Kanger Kboxes, an Evic mini, and the iJoy. So far, this was the first incident of misbehavior on any of them. I was getting complacent, I guess, having had zero problems with any of them until this morning. And the iJoy is the newest one!

We call this dead sleep, it happens to a lot of devices sis, glad it's working OK now though x

So this is "a thing?" Maybe if I shake it hard and yell loudly it will wake up? LOL! It's too purty to hit it with a frying pan, but maybe a good bonk on the head would do it, too! :p (Naw, I wouldn't hit my pretty shiny, either!)

You know what mod I REALLY like? These stupid little Kboxes. Go figure. They cost us $11.00 each and they're just the nicest, sturdiest little mods. My only problem is getting a battery in them, because my hands don't always cooperate with me in getting the battery cap screwed back on, but I always manage it eventually. I know some people don't like them because of the preset wattage choices, but I only ever use 30 or 35 watts anyway, so for me, it's perfect. And they appear to be indestructible, which is a definite plus for me! :D It makes a perfect barn/chore mod.

I wonder if getting some of those long q tips and cleaning the contacts, and putting some deoxit or noalox on them and the batt ends would help

The perfect "barn mod" for Lannie? Maybe this:

I can wipe them with my finger - the whole back cover comes off on the iJoy so it's wide open the length of the battery. It's a magnetic cover. But there was nothing there that I could see. I think it was just a hiccup in the electronics. Somehow removing the battery and reinstalling it re-set something. I have NO LOGICAL REASON for saying that, mind you, it's one o' those "women's intuition" things. ;)

LOL! After I embarrassed myself on that thread, I never went back there! I really should check that out, though, however these Kboxes fit the bill nicely, and they're CHEAP!

I knew that. I getz confuzd sumtimes...

This morning I had a total panic attack. I was vaping my wonderful Hazelnut Caramel Cupcake on my pretty mauve iJoy Solo Mini and got a blank hit. No heat, no vapor, no nuthin. I looked at the screen and it said "Power off" but I said, "What do you MEAN power off, I didn't turn you off!" So I 5-clicked it to turn it back on and nothing happened. Three times I tried to turn it back on, and got nothing. My heart was racing and my blood pressure was spiking, and then I thought, maybe there's a hair between the battery and the connection or something, so I popped the battery out and back in and it turned on just fine and has been performing flawlessly ever since. I never saw a hair or any other kind of debris in there, so maybe it was just a fluke, but it scared me. This thing is only a month or two old, and it's my very favorite mod (because of the shape and color, it's a gurl thing  ). It better not try to be bad again, or I will have to speak harshly to it.
I have a vamo that does that. Always having to pop the battery in and out.

they do a lot of things behind the scenes, sometimes they get confused and for Safety - the shut down

•might of thought it had a short - shut down
•maybe read the battery was too low - shut down
etc. some might be more sensitive than others...
think it/they try to ERR on the safe side of things...

a simple reset usually is all that is needed

:)

That's kinda what I figured. ;) Computers have NEVER liked me. If one can act up in any way, it will do it while I'M using it. I'm probably STILL the subject of many humorous stories told by my old IT guy.

So, Puff, you mean resetting (removing and putting back) the battery as a "reset?" The battery wasn't low when it happened, but who knows how the chip was reading it. Dang newfangled gadgets! Hey, at least I'm not smoking anymore, so I'm not complaining! LOL! And I DO have backups for my backups. I done listened. ;)
