Good to hear from you as well!
Iv missed the old days of pf being on here 24/7 lol

Hey man, just wanted to say I fell off the wagon, hard, as well. Took almost two years to get back on, properly committed, full time. It was much harder than when I first switched to vaping, no doubt about it.

Two big things helped: new gear (motivation) and coming back to EC-F. I think I discounted the power of having the community here as an unofficial support group.

Thanks, and you are very right!
When I fully switched to vaping it was because of the newer gear(Egos, Attys, Tube Mods etc. lol) at the time.
Joining ECF shortly after was by far the best help at finding the right setups for me, and also the worst for my Bank Account as everyone gave me “Shynyitis” lol

At the moment I can’t afford Gear like I used to a couple years ago, but I’m gonna be on the lookout soon for a New reliable Mod and Tank that’s not very expensive just to have something to look forward to as you said. I wish my Stockpile of unused gear would do it, but so much has changed it seems so I feel like I need to buy something new. Haha :D

BTW, Definitely the best support group here!

Hey, the nice thing (silver linings!) is that you've got a massive choice of very capable, very affordable options out there right now. You really don't need to bust the bank to get a great vape anymore (though, naturally, you still can).

Another thing, and maybe this is just me, but I found ditching the old gear really helped too. I've sold off or paid forward almost all of my old (and new) gear and am down to a single mod for daily use, and a backup/balcony menthol session setup. Scaling way back has been... liberating, for lack of a better word, and yet I feel no less into the hobbyist side of things. Maybe just me, but it's been working!

I just stocked up because of the Regs, but things look better now that a main Invester of Kure Lounge is running the FDA last time I heard. I need to get up to date on that though.

I have some stuff I could sell off, but some are backups of my favorite mods/tanks/attys.

I do need more Nicotine, My one last bottle has not been out of the package for 2 years, I’m sure I can still use it but I bet its Oxidized a bit..

I’m sure using just one setup does motivate you to keep going steady, I may try that.

Keep those backups for sure! It was the unused clutter that got chopped in my case and I do feel better for not having it, but I'm not sure it'd be the same for particularly beloved gear, especially if I still went back to it once in a while or for specific uses.

Speculation, but I feel like cleaning house helped remind me of what we're doing here: quitting smoking by way of replacement therapy. I COVET my ADV, but it's still my vice.

Exactly, I tell anyone who asks about Vaping, “It’s First about quitting Smoking Cigarettes”
Use the gear that helps best, not what’s Cool or everyone else has.

The Hobby/Fun side is 2nd. Which I admit is very fun lol

Between the cat wearing those MDR-R10s, your penchant for DIY and your other geekiness, I remain convinced we'd be buds if we lived closer together.

The Vic Vaper mk. I is gonna be... very likely mediocre! But it will vape, mark my words.

Buds for sure!

Keep us posted on your build! Anything DIY is excellent and if you can include an Arduino for a little web/blog cred, you know it will be gold!

I’ve been wanting to get Arduino kit for a while, but limited Internet makes it hard to play. Been messing with Raspberry Pi’s a lot, good for Digital Ham Radio, Media, and tons of other things. Wish I could get broadband where I live, stuck with Sprint Hotspots lol

Hey Troll, honestly I haven’t really Vaped in a year from moving and stress. sometimes on and off...

Keep trying to fully switch back over.
So what are these new boards/mods you mentioned in above post?
I left off with DNAs and some other TC mods but nothing special.

Never did get any DNA 60s :( still have a few DNA 40s for stock along with alot of other backups lol

I wanted to put a DNA 60 in my Hana V4 as @rhelton did.
I never bothered with the DNA60, I have a 166, 133, and a pair of 75's.
I did build my first iPWM mod a while back and absolutely love it. Used Big Al's board and parts from other places. A PWM vape is different from regulated, it's basically the power of a series mech that you can turn down, but nothing like a variable voltage mod.

I have ran across those but did not know it was different. Do you have a picture you can post?

As long as it's been tightly capped, it should be fine.

Not sure what your going through but hope everything gets better man.
Sorry you are struggling, Mikey.
My X-rays say I have a broken back (the entire lumbar region is crumbling). I'm wearing a girdle to hold me together. MRI this coming Monday and meet the Neurosurgeon the following Monday. No idea yet when the surgery will be. Sure makes it hard to use the chainsaw to put my Winter wood supply in (lifting, stacking, etc.). Lannie is doing her damnedest to make sure I don't lift heavy stuff, but you just cannot run a farm without doing heavy labor. Oh well...

And this too shall pass (one way or another).

I have an old Seeed Studio Arduino (Atmega168) that's been gathering dust for quite a while now along with some Ti Launchpads, a few STM32F4 boards, a Ti Stellaris EVALBOT and a Renesas YRDKRX62N with WiFi module.

The embedded bug hit me a long time ago, but all of the crippled IDE's turned me off and I wasn't paying for a full development package just to tinker.

All of those boards are all pretty old now and can be had for cheap. The Rasberry Pi wasn't out at the time and the Beagle Boards were way too expensive.

Aegis / Supreme V2 with single coil deck and 8ml extension to keep the thread on topic. ;)

I am very sorry to hear that! I truly hope the Surgery goes good and you can get back to everday life. I can’t imagine what that’s like..
