well, I know I like that.........don't reckin we have to specify it. Just so used to doing that with the Reos. Sorry :)

He's just trying to teach you that you can basically use ANY resistance on a regulated mod, because it can be adjusted to give you the vape you want. The only time it really matters is on a mech, where you can't adjust the wattage.

(See, Boden, I learnded it!)

But you gotta pick SOMETHING so you can figure out how many wraps you need and diameter and stuffs. It just doesn't matter what you pick. Be creative! :D

I was just asking about the ID and such since he'd said if ya get it too big, too much wick and it don't work well, or too little opposite, but still don't work well....or sumpthin like that. So wanted to know what he suggested on it as far as ID and the other thing. If there was another thing

Well, if it helps any, mine are all either 3mm or 3.5mm ID, and that seems to be the right amount of wick for me. I have one tank (Aromamizer) that I have dual 2.5mm coils on, and that seems good, too. So anywhere in that neighborhood would probably work well for you. :)

Oh, and I didn't see the part about the AFR, not using that. I like more air than that gives. I thought this would be a simple answer, sorry bout that

It's OK, I think he was just asking you all that so he could give you a good answer. He's very good at suggesting the "perfect" coil, once he knows all the parameters. :D

thanks hun!! I'll build that after bit. Oh, is that dual or single, don't matter to me, just need to know. I'm thinkin dual, but wanna make sure
Dual coil or parallel coil? Edit: see below for parallel

I just did a single

My Merlin started acting wonky so I broke it down. I do not recommend doing this unless you know how to deal with press fit construction. Thought I'd post the broken down parts just so y'all could see them.

Merlin is very easy to build and wick so I've had a dozen or more builds pass through.

Some sucked, some ok and some pretty awsome.

Overall I have to vote for a 4mm 28ga paraelel. Mine with kanthal come in at 1Ω and 25ish watts. I don't like the harshness of SS but it would work out very close but slightly lower ohmage or add another wrap.

Using mine on a DNA 40.

Parallel 26g SS316 4.3mm 7/6 wrap.

The coil will take the whole strand of Rayon (Sally's), pull it through and trim up the tails. :D
That tank does like big coils, problem I've found is the coil can suck the wick dry faster than it can feed if hitting it too often.

That coil is not one for the chain vaper. All the new ones are coming with the big square deck and chimney holes.

Here is Fozzy71's pic from the Merlin thread.
