1st batch of 100W will have a charging board included for no charge. After that they will start charging for them. This board will need to be soldered directly to the battery and not the board. A wall adapter is not included but they did source them finally for the future. But we'll need to figure out where to get them and the polarity for now I suppose. Going forward though it will be a bit ala cart....Charging board (yes/No), Adapter (Yes/No) with upcharges for them.

Our boards finally started moving...not sure everyone was aware but there was quite a scandal over there with a jewelry company and smuggling and they shut down everything in China customs and so they are finally catching up.....some say the iPhone 6 shipments also caused major issues....who knows :) Hope to have our shipment end of this week though!
Was wondering what happened. I have a shipment that has been in customs for over a week now. Thanks for the info.

I personally don't see a need for a 100w board. Your getting in an area that is too dangerous. I mean, 100w is enough power to run a laptop, a blender, coffee maker, etc... Count me out, I will stick to providing a safe product at 60w [emoji1]

I'm using a Lipo battery pack:Li-Ion 18650 3.7V 4400 mAh Rechargeable Battery module with PCB that I got from Amazon.
the firmware version is 2.4 and no battery spring, it's straight wired to the positive side of the board and the negative is soldered to the negative side of the 510 connection.

I did a quick search on Amazon and found this.

If this is your battery then it is the problem. From what I can see on the label it think it says 4.4 amps comes out to around 16Watts. I don't believe that is enough power to run the chip at higher power and low ohms. and we don't know if that is continuous load ratting or what...
I think you need at least 20 to 30 amp power ratting on you battery to be safe.
any one care to correct me if I am wrong?

That should be right. Looks like it has an automatic shutoff at 5.4a, that explains the board going down. It's due to the battery's safety features.

Edit: Yup, after crunching the numbers provided in the initial post, looks like the shutdown always occurs around 5a. That's the problem, but it's definitely better than the battery letting it try to fire above its limits. You need a higher rated battery.

That's the one all right. It didn't occur on me about the amp limit. But at least now I know what the problem is. Now to decide if I want to limit myself to under 25 watts, go to a bigger amp battery (and have to rebuild the box) or try to find a higher amp Lipo pack. Decisions, decisions, decisions.

The board requires a 25a battery or better, can not go lower.

Finished my build and have been vaping it for a few hours. It's in the living room charging at the moment. I personally feel that 100W regulated is COMPLETELY unnecessary! I'll post some pics tomorrow.

Glad I only bought a few of them. Maybe a few of my cloud chasing customers will appreciate them.

What resistance are you using?

2015 will be the year of air injected atomizers and we'll be up to 300 watts. :)
Pshh that's nothing. I've hit somewhere around 700w with my Congestus. Mind you, I could only hit it twice at a time. Any more than that, I'd probably have had to drain my lungs. Literally a "gagging amount of vapor". Not to mention, my batteries did NOT appreciate the 84 amp drain.

Anyone else having problems with firmware 20140813 v 2.4 where it keeps going into lock mode and it won't fire or is it just me.I had 20140808 v2.3 installed and had no problems with that version might have to downgrade.

I am having this issue. I have checked the button and its fine. Will go to vape and it will lock. Changed button and same issue. Wiring is good and it will lock or a couple times went all the way into the settings. It is really making me not enjoy the mod due to it doesnt have a pattern that i can figure out and I would hate to think the board is going bad.

I'm having the same problem, going into lock and a couple of times going into setting menu. I thought it was my switch also but changed that and still doing the lock up.

OneDesign, any ideas?

Hello everyone,
I have been lurking here for a while and I just finished building my first mod, an SX-350 of course! When I got it, I fired it up on the bench and got it updated and everything seemed to be fine. I soldered on one micro switch for my up/down and when I tried it the wattage went up, so I assumed I got the right 2 wires by chance and soldered up the other 2 but I didn't check it after I was done till after I had it all glued in. So, my problem is both switches made the wattage go up. I can go down using the gravity sensors so not a big problem. Now, I can get to the wires, a section of all 4 are outside of the glue so, is it possible to solder up the wires so it will only go up or did I get a bad chip? I need to figure that out before I start clipping wires.

Here are a few pics.

Thanks to anyone that can help.

Pictures aren't close enough to tell where you soldered the switches but I'd double check if I were you to make sure you put them in the correct pads. only 3 of the 4 pads are used, 1 is a common ground. Here's a image I snagged from Breaktru site.

I'm running the same version and no problems at all. In fact I've handled this board way more than I'd like to getting it into this other enclosure. But if it were mine having a problem I would do a few things, first I'd reflash the chip with the current version and see if that helped. If not I'd reflash with the older version, if it was still locking I'd open it up and make sure nothing was around the switch, switch wiring or on the pcb where the switch wires attach that could be causing a short. It seems something is making the chip think the switch is being hit multiple times to get to lock or settings mode.

I just refreshed with the 2.4 version and we'll see what happens. I did check all my connections and they seemed fine. If it still does the lock up, I'll try using the version before the 2.4.
Thanks for all the help, as I know newbies can be a pain at times.
