New ProVari came today..

And i lucked RIGHT out. It lines up perfectly on the PV... Wick lines up with the screen, and the Zen logo lines right up with the button, so I can see it's beauty when I'm vaping.

I decided to go with a ceramic wick, I took out the plastic insert and used a 1/8" ceramic wick. Anyone else using this setup and how is it working out for you?

I'm vaping 2 ZAPs with ceramic wicks. One has a DIY PetSmart, the other an FC-2000. ATM, the DIY is work fine, I can't say the same for the FC-2000. At a full 1/8" the FC-2000 may be too snug in the hole and is causing it not to wick as well as the other, which is just a very little bit under 1/8". Or I could have a coil problem, but I've re-don the coil 3 times w/ the same results.

So....how is it for you. I have read several posts on ceramic wicking and I have to say I am not quite sold yet. I applaud your effort for sure. So keep us posted!
I have only ever had to re/coil one wick that I have coiled and it was mostly due to my OCD and the overspill of spare time that I seem to possess lately and am incredibily happy with the Zatty's I own. I hate to ruin a good thing, but I hope it works for you!

you have to knock the top cap off with a long screwdriver from inside, take the chip out and then sand the paint off, hold it tight so it doesnt remove the teardrops... at that point you can polish it to a mirror finish if hyou want... i went w/ brushed. when you put the chip and top back dont forget to index it to where your wick is on the zap, hot glue the chip back in w/ just a dab of hot glue on either side.... then take a block of wood and put it on top of the top cap and hammer it back in... its just press fit so no worries.

the juice is pluid and gumby blood

btw i must reccommend that noone do this im not really sure but I imagine it will void your warranty...

... i did it bc it was the second set of minis that my gf destroyed, we had some that I polished completely and traded for these, it took her two weeks to chip up the paint, just by being in the same hand w/ keys and whatnot, they looked like they had been through a war again  (i was told by kenom, the 'vari paint is weak bc there is no media blast underneath, so it has nothing to really hold onto, or stick to) So after much bugging from her I decided to strip the new ones, it was her idea to leave the teardrops on.

I need to understand...I love G style attys and my Zens perform flawlessly. I typically wrap a 1.5-1.8 with .32 kanthal, love it.
Why after a few rips, tank or a great vaping session(usually before break in)does the ohms jump to 2.0-2.4ish or a bit more. It is still a great vape but....
I am educated but an electrical idiot, so be nice. Maybe is me, usually is.
Thank you for any help.

Just wanted to report that after using the stock wick and coil for a month, I finally put in a new wick and coil. I took out the insulator and used 2 of the included 400 mesh wicks instead of one. It's like night and day! It was nice before but now it's awesome! It's wicking much better, more vapor and the draw seems tighter...or maybe I'm just used to it.
