Now it's back up to .4 ohms and running TC just fine? But it's no where near the flavor of the Theorom so far.
Hmmmmm up to 40W ?Now it's back up to .4 ohms and running TC just fine? But it's no where near the flavor of the Theorom so far.
Now that it's happy in TC mode I'm running it the same as the Theorom, 400 deg and 35w, so it should be a pretty fair comparison? No help on the flavor, it's a "clean" flavor, but I'm not getting any of the subtleties I get from the Theorom, maybe the chamber is too small? I wouldn't think so as this juice tastes great on a KFL and Goblin mini.Hmmmmm up to 40W ?
Any improve on the flavor ?
Ok.... that is a fair comparison as it goes. Now that it's happy in TC mode I'm running it the same as the Theorom, 400 deg and 35w, so it should be a pretty fair comparison? Like I say, I'll play with more today and see what I can find out, but as of yet, I'll take the Theorom over this.
Two things I found on the Theorom, change out the drip tip, immediately! It's too short to get a good draw off of, it lets too much spit back in and so on, it's just too short!!!For me, ive had sky high expectations for the theorem due to the massive amounts of "5 stars" reviews online, but when i had it, i tried the notch coil, flavour was just so so, nothing special. Had better flavour even on some of my tanks. Juice drawing up the drip tip every other puff, luckily not aggressive spitback like having hot juice spraying onto my tongue. But well, it was a huge disappointment for me. Oh and it was the first rdta that i ever have, so not really gonna go into that territory again, just gonna stick to the old rta and rda style.
Erm additional question, will the base of tank get heated up by long draws ?Two things I found on the Theorom, change out the drip tip, immediately! It's too short to get a good draw off of, it lets too much spit back in and so on, it's just too short!!!
Second, don't go crazy on the notch coils, I'm hearing lots of people ramping them up and burning them out. Stick around 400deg-450deg and it's in it's happy place.
Round two with the Avocado, I've got two twisted .8x.1mm Kanthal wires at .74 ohms at 20 watts. It snaps and crackles like a snake, but the flavor is greatly improved. Not running nearly as hot, minimal spit back, it's a lot better. Not the apples to apples comparison I was hoping to get, sorry.
No, and that's odd. It's just the top cap and DT that get hot? I've noticed chain vaping with the twisted coil, the top cap gets hot, but I've got to get "after it" if you will, to get there.Erm additional question, will the base of tank get heated up by long draws ?
Seriously, I'm chain vaping it, 400 deg, at 30 watts, nothing is hot! I but the Avocado on, it gets hot on the top cap and drip tip.Pretty sure the base of the theorem would get hot as almost every part of it does. Granted I'm running dual vertical coils for 0.3 ohms. The stainless steel sleeve acts as a pretty good heat sink though. I recommend putting that on the glass you are using.
I think they do it on purpose. Given that so many tanks are 22mm, it's very annoying that there aren't more interchangeable parts. With all the modern design tools available, sometimes I'm quite surprised the new atties have such flaws..
