Hey Guys!
In celebrating my 4 months of 'no stinkies' I would like all my Halons out there to participate in the WE VAPE GLOBAL CALCULATOR.
All you do is plug in your info and it calculates everything. Let's show BT that we don't need 'em anymore! Collectively, we make a difference! :headbang::banana::toast:

We Vape - Global Money Saved/Cigarettes Avoided Calculator

Countess Diva,

Congratulations on making it past Four Months!!! Tell us your story. How long did you smoke, and what and how many. Had you quit before? What made you do it this time? Was it Halo to start, or did you upgrade to Halo? Did saran play any significant role? How many keyboards has it cost you?

And most important, give us the tips, your secrets to success!!!!!

Thank you, thank you everyone. I so appreciate each and every one of you! To answer your questions Dave, I smoked for 25yrs and tried to quit numerous times. Each time I tried to quit, it was the most miserable experience ever. Wanting a cigarette EVERY day is no way to live (imho). I smoked non-menthol for first 18yrs and switched to menthol for the last 7. A pack and a half usually, but more if really stressed. What made me quit was just tired of feeling bad physically and KNOWING that I was killing myself. Losing both my parents to lung cancer obviously played a HUGE role as well.

I actually quit by using a little cheapo starter kit at a gas station called 21st Century. I was so thrilled with this little item, cuz it was much better than the Blu I had tried 3 yrs prior, that I painted it with purple glitter nail polish and vaped my head off. I shall never throw those little batteries away cuz they remind me of when I quit. After much research I decided on Halo for the quality, one stop shopping and the purple of course. I feel sooo much better. I can tell that my lung capacity has improved a great deal. Years ago I was a classically trained clarinetist, and I could hold a note forever! Cigarettes destroyed that for me. Next week I have a doc's appt. and I wonder what my lungs will sound like now.

About the 'Saran wrap' ...well, it's only significant cuz you guys keep making it so! (hubby still fondly recalls that night at dinner
however)! ;)

Keyboard replacement coming soon...wheezal!!!! $@!@#@!#....ahem

Tips? VAPE YOUR HEAD OFF!!!! Can't stress it enough. When you think you want to smoke...vape instead. The longer you do that, you'll convince yourself it's true. And the most important tip is to have strong support base as we have here and with friends and family. That's pretty much it. You guys are so very special to me. We truly are 'Halon" :)

So, nicely done, Diva. I so relate to the "wanting" everyday of a quit.

It'll be interesting to hear what Doc has to say. (as well as Grumpy, Happy, Sneezy,...)

So, you can blow a really long, er, un, clarinet? Go on.

And do you feel like a weight is lifted? No guilt about smoking, and no feelings of shame about wanting to?

Oh Dave, sometimes I just sit with tears in my eyes because I know in my soul I am truly free of cigarettes. It's amazing!

I tell ya, after that 3 puffs fiasco at around the time I quit, I haven't really wanted one. It made me so ill and tasted sooooooo disgusting...YUCK! That memory will stay in my head forever.

But my real motivation is my parents. I was a card carrying 'Daddy's girl' My Dad was a really big guy, I'm talking football player big. In fact he was at the Cleveland Browns tryout camp when he was sent an urgent telegram telling him his mother had died suddenly, so he left and went back home to care for his younger siblings. He never went Pro. Never got to play. Anyway, to see what cancer did to this big strapping man....Ok, um....and my Mom too? The 2 most favorite people gone out of my life...no way, I don't want another one! "Free at last, free at last, Thank God Almighty I'm free at last!:)

Diva, why ain't you out celebrating tonight with SafariAL? This is a huge accomplishment! You have to celebrate your successes. Beside's hubby is a modder with means he likes to tinker with things which means he likes to tear things apart and put them back together again, really delve deep into the inner working of things. Grab your saran wrap and let him really delve in there and tear it apart. erm.....I mean celebrate you know.....

I lost a grandfather too early, cancer-smoking and my grandmother, cancer- I'll bet second hand smoke. And several other relatives. I knew I had to stop, but every time I did, I craved.

I also still have my Logic cig a like, serving as my redneck dripper. Sorry, Halo, but that Logic got me off cigs, and showed me that I can live without a cig. (It also left me searching for more, hence the Halo)

I'm sitting now in my bedroom, vaping a cloud. I haven't ever smoked in this bedroom. (When we bought the house 20 years ago, I agreed no smoking in the house proper, just in the basement, but I did sneak some at the pc)

I've said this in many past posts and I'll say it in a lot more. I don't want a cig. No desire. Even after hours, I don't. Even after a bad meeting at work. And the crave for a vape then is a lot less severe. I feel I could quit nicotine much easier than I could have ever quit smoking. That is, if I ever dcide to end my nic addiction.

Contessa Diva, I'm glad you are happy and free. I think you are 2 weeks longer than me. Promise me you will always be.
