I usually "squonk" while I am holding down the fire button. blind squonking doesn't seem to work as well with the ERA, I never had much of a problem with it with premade attys. It might also be that my feed tube is just sad and tired and ready to give up.

I also use only 100% VG juice with no thinners.

The blind squonk will work. You just won't hear that gurgle you get with a regular atty. You will find how long you need to push on the bottle. Usually with my RBA's it is not long.

I really doubt it is your feed tube. That tube should work great for a long time. I run REO's that are more than a couple of years old with original tubing and have no problem.

The RBA's just feed different.

Squonking while holding down the button is not a good way to do it. If you don't want to draw while squonking at least squonk before firing.

Check how tight you are putting on your cap too. If it is too tight it will be tougher to squonk.

Blind squonking really won't work with an ERA unless you hold your finger over the air hole. Although I normally you a 65/35 pg/vg mixture I've experimented with 100% vg in some of my DIY. The only real difference I found was I had to keep pressure on the bottle slightly longer than my thinner mixture. Other than that it fed fine.

The one thing that has stumped me with my REO is thicker juice doesn't always feed well. Anyone come up with any good solutions yet?

Have you tried to squonk and see how much juice coming into the atty?

100% VG here. Absolutely no problem getting juice to the coil. Perhaps adjust how tight you have your juice bottle. I also like to cut the end of the tube at 45 degree angle so it doesn't sit flat against the bottom of the bottle.

My preferred squonk with an RBA is to squeeze and hold till I just see liquid at the air hole, then slowly release to draw the excess back into the bottle. I have to hold the squeeze longer if the bottle has less juice in it.

+1 with what Hildi says. If the tube is off the bottom it may be the era. Have you tested on some other device? I use 100% VG too w/o any problems.

If you can't check on another device then remove era from mod, cover air hole with finger and draw from drip tip. The draw will be tighter than with the hole uncovered but you should be able to pull air without too much difficulty. I don't have an era so not real sure here on how tight a draw you gonna get. Hopefully somebody who has one can chime in.

Since you got the era off you can also squonk and see how fast the well fills on the REO, it should give you a better idea on how hard a squonk you need to vape

I have not tried 100% VG cause I have alot of 50/50 mix left, but tell me why you folks like it?

Thanks

Some have sensitivities associated with PG. VG produces more vapor while PG is said to have better flavor. Me, I can do both but for the past couple of months I have used only VG. Actually the bottle of VG fell and broke its cap so I have only plastic wrap and a rubber band keeping the fluid in and thought that I'll just finish the bottle. Its like drinking beer, nut cool to have more than 1 bottle open at a time :)

I ran into this issue with an atty too. The catch cup on the REO would fill completely and juice would never reach the atty. I unfolded a paper clip and stuck it in the bottom of the atty thinking there must be some blockage, and never could get it to work. I was so desperate for a vape, I went back to cartos and never went back (yet). Will try again someday. :D

I use mosty pg/vg blends but have used plenty of all vg thick over the yesrs. Never had any issues with vg and REOs.

It's been a couple of months since I've used my ERAs and Hornets because I'm so in love with my Greek RBAs but remembering for top cap hole RBAs I judged how much to squonk by squonking on a still hot coil, not firing button, and judging by vapor release up out top. Seemed to work fine. Only issue is I would sometimes flood the RBA a bit and juice would occasionally leak out of cap hole.

In 2010, when DH was using 801 pen style with cartridges (not cartomizers) I thinned his 100% VG with PGA or tiny bit of water. Those were the days of doing a straw mod to the carts to get them to feed the atty better.
