Thickening & Diluting Nic Level

I'd like to dilute the nic level of some juice that I bought (unknown PG/VG ratio) and thicken it up. If I took 5ml of the 12mg juice and mixed it with 5ml of VG, do I come up with a thicker juice at 6mg?

That's actually part of the hope. The juice is a little too 'in your face' for me in the Subtank.
