Surprised you don't get burnt hits with plain VG, but usually there is "some" distilled water in it too.

Sounds like flooding tho, check where the wick comes out of the slot on each side.
Fluff them up a bit, make sure you don't see any dark area around the wick, juice will leak past the wick through these holes/cracks.
Then you suck it up the tube.
Make sure the silicon cap is on top of the chimney, and not missing.
Some of the ones I've seen recently don't have the cap anymore, but was replaced with a tiny 0-ring.
I've switched over to organic cotton ball wicks, and now Rayon wicks.
They fluff up much better than the stock silica wicks, and don't need the flavor wicks on top to plug the holes.
Better tasting too.
Check out the u-tube videos on DIY cotton wicks and micro coils.

BTW I think the EVOD is a clearomizer not a carto.

I kind of disagree. Generally it's the thinner juices that don't do well in Kanger bottom coil tanks. The thinner ones are more likely to leak out the bottom, whereas the thicker ones might just not wick well and get the burned tasting dry hits. I'm still thinking that if the top of the battery is getting soaked with an all VG liquid, it's most likely a loose coil head, or, as Heabob said, maybe a problem with the silicone cap or o-ring.
