I'm about a month into vaping and strictly vaping(no analogs), I'm currently using an eGo-t with a low res atty.
Seriously considering an Apex Alpha Ultramx w/Res.

Anyone have any experience with them, pros? Cons?
I'd really like to hear more about the downsides considering all the reviews and videos I've seen seem to praise this little gadget.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Theres a cheap altsmoke bb (black beauty) in the classifieds that'd be an awesome pv to buy, it gives you the choice to 3.7 volt vape or 6 volt. Its a smallish pv with awesome usability. I stepped from a ego-t to the bb and through a stormy tank on, best move i ever did.

Yeah, I've looked at a few of the Altsmoke devices, they're nice but whats really attracting me is the Ultramax w/Res Because of the Res.

I'd just like to here some of the Cons on the device. Basically what I'm getting at, is there someone out there that will give me enough reason to not drop $200 bucks on an Ultramax kit because as of right now I'm almost convinced.

I've never heard of it, either. For $200 I would be getting either the variable volt Darwin or Provari. You have a link for this PV?

Note: well, I will take that back. Just did a search and found it. It's a standard PV that allows you to vape at either 3.7 or 6 volts. $200 for 3.7 or 6 volts makes no sense to me. 6 volts is too hot for most users and there are about 100 different PV's that vape at 3.7 volts. When you can get two of the best variable volts for just a little more than $200, I don't see the point.

Uhhhh Call me a dummy...LOL But go to Eliquid planet and look at the Helix...its $120 and the huge long lasting biggest batteries in the land are $15 each...but you can use 18650s or 2 little 3v batteries for 6V vaping...its like the ultimate in versatility without being a VV...which isnt necessary because this vapes at about 4.1 volts out of the box...oh Yeah its made by Cisco too....a no brainer if your ready to drop $200 on a WHAT??????

I have a AlphaMax w/RES. I use a lr boge cartomizer instead of an atty. I love it. It turns the 2ml RES into 3ml. I can vape half the day with it. I also purchased another RES for it so that I can have a change of flavor. Very nice unit. I take it with me when I have to go out. No bottles and no dripping for this gal. RES all the way!

If you got money to spend than I highly recommend a Reo Grand (change batts and you can go to 6-7.4 volts) or you can try the mini out. Whichever, the reo is a great mod to get you off of cigs.

If you want a mod just for the higher voltage and battery then you have a good list of PV's to start.
If you want more, the ability to have a quantity of juice available at your fingertips, is a excellent addition.
You would be hard pressed to find another mod offering the quality, ease of use, and durability of the REO.
Check out the REO thread here to see what owning a REO is all about:

I agree with post #5 also. For that kind of money, I suggest you look real hard at the ProVari. Why be limited to just 2 different voltages when a ProVari lets you have all the voltage in between. Most, if not all, of use really, really like our ProVari's.

Have to hit the button at least 5 times to adjust the voltage? I loved the look of the Provari but it was heavy and the menu system. PASS. I loved the wheel system of the Darwin but wanted a tube type mod that had VV with a wheel. Got the Infinity. Very nice $80.

My next mod will be a VV Reo or similar I think ;)
