The horrible smell. When I get near a smoker now, I am ashamed to know that I used to smell that bad.
That's exactly how I felt this morning I was talking with this dude while we were waiting, and then he pulled out his pack and lit up another one. That's when I pointed my APV to him and let him have a look at it while I explained the beauty of e-cigs to him. I should see him around sometime next week, so I'll see if anything resonated in him yet.

I always hated getting the dirty looks from complete strangers even though I would be outside in the cold within strict smoking parameters. Especially from mothers with kids... such evil looks I've received just for smoking.
My biggest thing though was the nasty stench smoking analogs left all over, I used to carry body spray to mask it, lol. No more!

Kind of a continuation of the cig sticking in your mouth and burning your finger, when you finally get over the pain in your finger, and pull the cig out of your mouth, the filter takes a big chuck of lip skin with it, because evidently cigarette filters are made of superglue and tear your lips apart frequently.

Having a cig dangling from my mouth and the smoke getting in my eyes and burning like hell. Or just generally smoke getting in the eyes for any reason.

Burn marks on furniture

Ash all over everything

Having to feel embarassed about smoking while visiting people who I don't know to well.

Stinking.

The worse hangerovers while drinking. I still get the occasional hangover, but nothing near as bad as I did while smoking.

Visiting a non-smoking friends house and figuring out what to do with my cigarette butts, know how bad the smell I drag in with me is.
Having to find a place to hide from my niece and nephew when I'm visiting my sister, I always felt like a jerk if they saw me smoking.
Co-workers complaining about smoke breaks.
Since I take public transit, having to leave for work 40 minutes early to hit the store for smokes.
Tring to give up and leaving my lighter at home only to have to buy another one when I would buy smokes at the end of the day.
Having people who quit telling me how they quit cold turkey and it was easy.
The dirty looks I get from passers by when I'm smoking outside.
The little layer of soot left all over my apartment.
The stink.
The taste.
The 3000 dollars I am going to have to spend to have to spend to get my bonding fixed (braces caused damage to my enamel and smoking has stained the bonding I needed done badly)
Looking cool as hell shivering my buns off hovered over a lighter like a crack addict trying to light my cigarette.

Losing my pack of cigs and frantically hunting for them which cranked up my nic fit. So I'd open another pack, smoking one and calm down, so I could find the missing pack, resulting in having to keep up with two packs. ugghh

Wrecked my car once tring to light my cig with a zippo after cracking my window. I was playing the "chase the flame" game on a curvy narrow back road, ran off the road on to the gravel shoulder and lost control of my car sliding sidways through someones yard. Fortunately no damage to the car. But two flat tires and a ruined yard. Smh.

Developing a complex about opening my purse and the smell of smoke wafting out...spraying the insides of said purses with febreze and seriously thinking that helped

Feeling like the worst mother in the world while making up some excuse to tell my children about why I can't quit today like I said I was going to and then proceeding to....

That moment of extreme desperation when you pick out the least smoked .... from home/car ashtray....

.....We have all been there.....

So I would have something to smoke in the car on my panicked drive to the corner store for more. :(

Running late for work, grabbing your pack off the table and 10 miles down the road realizing you grabbed an empty pack. Quick stop at the store to buy one over-priced pack, back on the road and realize your lighter is empty. Naturally, your full lighter is on top of your full pack at home....yet another stop for a new lighter.

And the only reason you can give at work for being late is "bad traffic", if you told the truth you'd be greeted with head shakes, tongue clicks and "You should quit.".
