I've had mine for about 4 days. It came in flimsy packaging and although it had the Eleaf sticker on it, the verification scratchy was cut off. When I wrote to Fasttech about this (since this was marked "authentic" they said Eleaf does not allow them to use the tag because they sell cheaper than the recommended price but assured me that he item was genuine. That is just to let you know what to expect in general terms. The mod itself is very solid and stealthy at the same time since it's more or less the same size of an istick 30 and only just slightly heavier. The TC works perfectly on it - I tried the dry cotton test at 600F for 10 secs and barely got a singe. Naturally it also works fine in regular mode. The first three days I thought the battery wasn't giving me much life but today It was still going after vaping 6ml of juice.... that should give you a better idea about your own needs - giving you a time might not mean anything since it all depends on the style of your vaping. So it seems to be settling in nicely after 3 full cycles. I'm quite pleased with and at the price it really is a steal even if it didn't have or you don't use TC. I'm not telling you it's a deal breaker or even the right mod for you - I am just telling you my own experience with it.

And a Rat.

I've had the 40w for awhile.

I like it. The TC works very well. I also use it alot in watts mode.

I have an IPV4 also and I hate it for TC. Its an ok mod for watts which is what I bought it for and battery life is outstanding. But in TC mode the menu sucks. The iStick menu is perfect.

Right now the iStick has a Derringer with nickel build at .06. Boy it hits nice and never a hint of dry hit. Its rotating with the IPV actually tonight with a Mutation V3 in watts mode.

<vape break>

I'd like to say something bad about either but both are just perfect at the moment.

From what i have scouted on the mod, its a great tc mod; it is off but not that bad that it isn't worth the cash asked. Almost all devices are off on certain ohm setting except very few.. You get a nice mod for 26 bucks its appearing.. I did see 5 hr batt life if using temp mode above 420 degrees, another @ 2-3hr batt life if using it at 600 degrees chain vaping.

Its a great back up/starter Tc device IMO or if used in normal mode a great all day device.. The one thing about it, it charges fast as heck..

Having a Istick 50 watt and this would be perfection..

    Seems like Eleaf totally lied about the battery capacity. Advertised 2600mah, turns out it's around 1950mah :grr::sneaky:

    When I compared the watt-hour rating for that battery against the batteries I have tested I got a capacity rating of about 2400-2500mAh. If the TC 40W ran at at slightly different voltage than the cells I've tested though, it could be a true 2600mAh battery.

    I'm thinking about buying the Istick 40w TC, but other reviewers say that the TC is off. I'm new to TC.
    Perhaps the temperature is off a bit, it does seem hotter than my IPV4s but the real problem with the Eleaf 40w TC is battery power. More than likely you would need 2 of them to vape all day in TC mode. I was getting 8-10 hours max on a charge. With me not having Titanium Wire mode is a issue as well. I like it otherwise...........

    I don't have the technical means to test battery life but just going by my layman observations the 40W does last me longer than the 20w, even if running it in TC. At first I too got the impression its life was shorter than advertised , but after the first three full cycles it settled in very nicely. I don't know whether that is hogwash in technical terms but it's just telling what I noticed. This little iStick has a lot going for it - size, shape, looks, performance, price. The only snag, for me, is the fixed battery. Even that might be a plus for a beginner though since they won't need to invest in batteries and charger.

    I'm thinking about buying the Istick 40w TC, but other reviewers say that the TC is off. I'm new to TC. The battery is only $27.00 at fasttech! Please give me some input, I'm on a very limited budget and need to know if this is a deal breaker.

    I have an Istick. 40 TC. WORKS GREAT. I don't use Nickel, and saw no way to use Stainless steel or Titanium wire in TC.

    I have heard that TC works only in 40 watt mode and the battery doesn't last very long.
