Hi there everyone , as the title .. could someone tell me if it's going to be a wise choice? It's a expensive mod so i need to make a decision soon. Also please explain to me why it would be a good/bad buy, thanks a lot. I currently have a Mini LT.

So far this is what i gathered... this is a mod that does not have short circuits like the other VV mods. And will work without a problem since it does not have a chip like other VV mods. This is considered as a mechanical mod. Also heard it has some buttons problems and does not fire up? Any help is appreciated thanks

A hybrid like the Orion v2 is not variable voltage, though they give you a very nice vape. If you have no experience with genesis atomizers there will be a learning curve in making a proper wick and building coils.

Great thing about the Orion is that you can use a lot of different battery configurations and in 18350 mode it's pretty much a stealth vape. Alot of people very much enjoy the Orion and it certainly isn't a bad mod by any means.

Hopefully someone in the Orion community can speak about any button issues ....

Thanks heard some good reviews about the orion myself but i am wondering about the VV's. For my LT i am using now , i could change the VV to my liking but i won't be able to do that for the orion and it has a built in genesis type atomizer. also there is no way i could check the ohm's , voltage remaining and on/off switch. Would all this really matter while using the orion? Or will it compensate for all this on vape, flavor and thoat hit? Thanks

Hybrids are designed to work well with the genesis atomizer they come with so vv is really not needed for them to work great.

You'll get good flavor and vapor production after you learn to properly roll wicks and build coils regardless.

If you want vv/vw and ohms checking a hybrid will not do this. (And it doesn't need one as the atty is designed for the device and vice versa) You'll have to look at a digital mod for those functions.

i heard that a digital VV could get spoil much faster than a hybrid mod, is that true?

The orion v2.1 has an electronic switch made by Pailpoe so it does have electronic components. Earlier production has had leaking issues in which juice seeped to the switch and breaks it but you can buy the switch with the upgraded no leaking seal for 15 euro. Later production doesn't leak. If you are looking for a good hybrid with a side switch and small form factor, then the Orion v2.1 is for you. Upcoming V3 will be variable voltage with aircontrol but it is still in the design stage.

Where do i go and get this, as it seems if ever there is going to be a problem with the orion, it's the switch. Correct me if i'm wrong, thanks

Pailpoe usually is around on vaporwall forums. The problem is you have to wait for the forum admin to activate your account (sometimes weeks).

On this link you can find some info about pailpoe.. someone had the switch problem and a user from here helped him get the switch.
Try pming the user "emonty". I dont know him but he seems to be a very helpful guy!

The way i see it, genesis hybrids such as the orion are the last step of vaping. From what ive heard and read and seen on video reviews you get more vapor, more flavor, more throat hit etc. There is a learning curve on setting up your coils and wicks but man some of the best reviewers on youtube make it look so easy that i dont think youll have problems. Yes they are kind of expensive but I waste so much money on cartos/attys anyways since you have to keep changing them ..

With the orion another "issue" you can find is that you might need to sand down your tank so that your airhole lines up with your wick. Very easy to do from what ive seen. You can also use an oring instead if you dont feel like sanding down your tank.

I myself recently ordered my Orion 2.1 directly from Nosmoker last saturday and he shipped it yesterday. Cant wait to get it in the mail ! :D

on another note, you may also consider getting an ihybrid. They are almost always available on The iHybrid Home

This one has excellent reviews. They come ready to use out of the box too, no modding needed. I didnt get it personally because i just love how the orion looks.

Edit:

I found out you already got the orion. Enjoy it!

How far is the airhole from the wick? If just over a tad, you can just nudge the glass upward. If far, do figure of 8 on a wet 400 sandpaper. Remove orings for easy fitting. Don't overdo it.

There isnt a video or any sort of tutorial in the web about this as far as I know, but it shouldnt be hard to do.

Basically what you want to do is:

1. uninstall your top cap and tank

2. slowly sand your tank evenly. mac_206 said you can use 200 fine grit or emery cloth to sand it down. you can get those from your local hardware store.

3. install your tank and your top cap back in. check where your air hole on the top cap is sitting now.

4.Repeat process until you air hole is lined up with your wick in a straight line.

Here is the message and picture with instructions that Nosmoker sent me when he shipped me my orion. unfortunately the info on the pic is in german language but i hope you get the idea.

"after receiving of your Orion, please clean the tank and the atomizer and in particular all the holes.

The third O-ring is used to quickly adjust the air hole and the wick in one line.

I recommend sanding the tank by sanding paper. in the links below you will find help

I suppose that everyone who bought Orion knows what he bought, and can handle him.Orion is the most difficult mod and subjected to test your skill. in return you get the best flavor, Throat Hit and pleasure"

Just install the tank and insert your wick on the wickhole. When you install your top cap you should see your wick through the tank and your airhole has to be right on top of it in a straight line.

did you see the picture in the link?

also did you get spare tanks with your orion?

Please let me know bro and im glad to help :)
