I think the main problem there was you didn't have enough of that beer! Don't you know that Grillin' ALWAYS goes better after atleast your third glass!!

Haha being from TX myself the first line of your post is exactly what I thought. BBQ is serious business and once its going besides drinking everything else has to hold on.
i know... that was my 4th pint. i lit the fire, waited had another, and another keep waiting for the fire to get ready... and noticed i downed 3 pints in 5 min. had to milk the last pint, and fall back on gimlet for the dinner....
I think they are grilled to perfection...what am I missing. Maybe a little dried out huh...Lil bit...lol.
Same here. It has been a long cold winter here. Gonna grill out after the rain quits tomorrow.
And here we are, had a mini thaw out and expecting some more snow Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
I was vaping and grillin today, well not really i was in the garage cleaning my boat and these were in the smoker, had a nice apple wood rub on them.
I drink beer all day but on special occasions I do shot, too.
