I saw this video on YouTube , really caught my attention . It looks like a real experiment done by a guy with 2 water water bottles. HERE is the link , and will also try to embed in post also , not sure if ECF will allow it , but will try . If a mod thinks the video is a fake , please remove or message me .

Yeah, I've seen a couple videos like this. Didn't stop me form smoking then though. =D

One thing I am curious about is buildup of residues from the juices and how does the PG/VG mix affect residue? One thing that I have been noticing, or trying unsuccessfully to notice, is that there is no buildup what-so-ever in the tip of my clearo. This is very reassuring as it seems to me there is/will be very little residue accumulation in my lungs, trachea, etc.

When I used to smoke at school (yes I know) some of my smoking friends would get smoke and blow it into the sleeve of my white shirt - leaving a little yellow dot of tar.

I knew then, didn't stop me smoking for 25 years or so after.

Nice video though, I am pretty sure it's not fake. Just remembering how yellow my fingers were and how it used to coat even the glass in my car when I smoked it in.

I knew the same thing , I smoked for 28 or so years , when i was just wasting time on youtube , i came across this and thought i would share it .

As far as i know , most everything we inhale is pretty much water soluble , the only real hazard i know of could possibly the food colorings in the flavors . Who knows though it is all food / medical grade (we hope) materials . You know thats one reason i like mixing my own juice , i know whats in it and where the products are from . Unlike things like Hangsen Chinese liquids that i do use because they are SOOOOOO FREAKING CHEAP ($4.50 USD + Shipping for 16mg/50ml) .

Where is the nicotine that you use extracted? How do you know what is in it?

I think you'll find that one of the Chinese liquid manufacturers has posted a complete video tour of their lab facilities online for all to view. Dekang was one of the original e-liquid makers and is highly regarded in the vaping community.

Just because it's made in China, doesn't make it untrustworthy. Just because it's made in the US, doesn't make it good.

Contamination of food chains is an issue that transcends international borders.

The company i got this HangSen from also sells Dekang but has been out of stock for several months now . And with me being out of work since July 3rd , i really cant afford to drop a whole lot on juice , just glad i have what i got now even though it isnt the best . Only bought it to try , but had ordered enough to keep me for a while . I like 30+ mg nic and HangSen is only 16mg , so i am vaping constantly . Very Heavy vaper to begin with .

Would have liked to see that demo with the carton of analogs . Would have made me sick though knowing i put 28+years in my lungs .
Vaping has really helped me though , glad ECF was here to get me pointed in the right direction . Thanks guys .

not sure if I posted this...or what...so I will repost

Find your particular brand of cig in the link below, then find the mg of TAR in each cig, multiply that time how many cigs you HAVEN'T smoked, then calculate how much TAR you didn't ingest!
Nicotine, Tar, and CO Content of Regular Cigarette Brands

Ill break it down for you on my cigs...I used to smoke Marlboro Reds
NIC TAR CO BRAND NAME TYPE
1.2 16 15 MARLBORO RED pkg 100 F HP

I got 1.2mg nicotine per cig, 16mg of TAR per cigarette, and 15 mg of Carbon Monoxide per cig...in each pack there is 20 cigs, so 16x20=320mg of TAR, 10 packs a carton =3200mg TAR, smoked a 2 cartons a week for almost 20 years, 52weeks in a year x 2 cartons a week=104, 104 cartons a year x 3200mg TAR = 332,800mg TAR, x 20 years = 6,656,000mg tar (conversion online of mg to lbs = 14.674 lbs of TAR I ingested into my lungs over the time I smoked...now do you understand why all those pictures of the dried up black leather lungs everyone shows you!!!!!!!!!!

Personal vapers DO NOT HAVE TAR OR CARBON MONOXIDE!!!! Read that again <- Personal vapers DO NOT HAVE TAR OR CARBON MONOXIDE!!!!
Only 4 ingredients, propylene glycol (food preservative, its practically in EVERYTHING...it's NOT antifreeze), food grade flavoring, nicotine extract, and medical grade glycerine) Nicotine in it's pure form without all the garbage from above is another chemical stimulant like caffeine...it is a toxin but in small doses it is just a stimulant...too much can kill you just like caffeine

Personal vapers are a MUCH safer "alternative" form for getting nicotine, just like a patch or a gum (and should be treated as such!)...it's not "perfectly" safe however it is immeasurably safer than normal combustion cigarettes!

Our PG/VG are basically just alcohol. The dissipate in water, so, they dissipate after entering our lungs. & they probably even help to clear out whats in our lungs from smoking since most organic matter can be extracted into alcohol. I dont think they could build up and stick to the walls of our lungs. [Edit - No, we won't see the video.]

I've seen those videos before (people would send them to scare me straight) but at the time, I could care less. I was a smoker and to heck with anyone else. I was a considerate smoker however :)

I quit smoking cigarettes near the beginning of March of this year and only recently got into vaping. The most disturbing thing about quitting was me continuing to hack up lung candy for almost 2 months!!

I damn near spit out my coffee on that one. Not at all what I expected.
