This ohm tester

Won't freaking open! I've ripped most of the tabs and stuff up but I can't even pry it off!



It still works (though maybe not once I'm done mangling it) I was just concerned about having to change the batteries. I tried opening it a few months ago, it wouldn't budge, didn't think anything of it until now.

Look at the back. You should see "OPEN" then some down indicator lines, Press on the back with your thumb, and pull down with your thumb.

Well, yeah, of course, pushing down dislodges the latches on the edge behind the OPEN. But it won't slide down. At all. I've mangled those latches so much they don't actually latch on anymore, and pried the cover up past them but the cover seems to be anchored somewhere in the middle just in front of the thumblines. I've pried up/out the clasps at the opposite end as well but still can't get the cover to come off.

mine had a screw in the back... maybe there are to much glue inside
