Funny - as your user name includes my real name and I am from Indiana born and raised!

Cool co-incidence! There is another member here who has my last name as part of their username, I wanted to say something but didn't.

Here's some eye-candy to contemplate while you shop for your 'Vari ;)

I consider myself a noob, too, smallpenny. I'm not a noob when it comes to quality and value. You'll get your money's worth! I knew I wouldn't be happy with less than a Provari. Quality remains after cost is forgotten....

I totally believe you all when you talk about the quality. There *has* to be truth behind the kind of hype/praise I see here all the time in regards to the ProVari's.

Whu whu whuuuut???? Your last name is Roonies???? :p
So glad you made the purchase, and I agree with the poster who recommended getting the Noalox! I didn't and after using my Provari for less than a week the threads are getting darker and less smooth. Now I have to go back to Provape for Noalox and am forced to also get another Provari mini!!! I have been thinking red but the new shiny SS is beckoning......You are going to be one very happy vaper!! Congrats on your purchase....and welcome. :)

You can buy Noalox at the hardware store. A little bit goes a very long way! When I bought my Reo, Randy (the owner) sent about a quarter-sized dab in a baggie and it's still not all gone. :)

There is!

If you've been reading this forum, you must have figured out that we all couldn't possibly have fallen for hype and now say the ProVari is great to justify spending too much money. Be prepared, you are going to hear things like that over and over from AntiProVarians. Threads are started everyday with titles like, "Is xxx as good as ProVari" "What's so great about a ProVari?" "VW is so much better than VV, why doesn't ProVari upgrade their system?" They are written by people who don't own ProVaris.

From what I've read being on ECF, the ProVari brings out more nastiness in people than any other device. There are mechanical mods that cost thousands and don't have VV or VW (without extra parts to modify them) and their owners rarely get any criticism. I have a few theories about why that happens, but I haven't had my coffee yet; perhaps I will bore you with one of my famous 3 page "Rawrs" later. (The "O" in ocelot stands for opinionated.)

I have to be careful though. About a year ago a member of the ProVarinati started a thread in our own forum asking others of our cult where we thought all the hate came from. The thread was inundated with uninvited AntiProVarians and turned into a bloodbath. The thread was finally locked, and sadly, the member who started it was so unnerved he rarely comes on ECF anymore. I haz a sad :( I liked him.

Not everyone wants or needs a ProVari! OMG! I'm allowed to type that because it's true! Some people like mechanical mods, some prefer bottom-feeders, some like to try everything on the cutting edge as soon as it comes out, and other people are perfectly content with an eRoll or an eGo. A ProVari is basically a battery device - a fabulous battery device, but it doesn't fit everyone's needs. It's lovely we have so many choices now!

There is only one mod I would buy now besides a Provari

Nope, not roonies ;) I searched the internet and found out that Home Depot carries the Noalox, so maybe head on over to Home Depot and pick some up. You won't be able to force a purchase of another ProVari mini though if you do lol!

I appreciate the warning and have noticed out on the main forums that when a ProVari is mentioned there seems to be a sort of rolling of the eyes reaction from many people. I didn't know it can get that bad though, geez. I wonder why people react so strongly, over a battery, it's odd.

If I don't show up back to this thread for a little while it's because I'm studying for my CDL permit. I've got a lot of studying to do for my new job, stress, ahh! I will post back though when I receive undecided name of my new baby from ProVape.

Good luck with everything! :)

I totally believe you all when you talk about the quality. There *has* to be truth behind the kind of hype/praise I see here all the time in regards to the ProVari's.

When I began researching vaping, every Google search lead to ECF and many of the threads I'd end up getting caught up in had something or other to do with the ProVari--what I mean here is the thread would start off addressing what I was Googling then as you continue to read it would become a versus thread.

Now, since I'm a cheerleader for foolishness, these particular posts had me intrigued by the ProVari; same as the iPhone did me back in '07. Anybody who was anybody had one. I'm not someone who fully appreciates someone elses experience until I can experience it myself--so I got an iPhone to feel what the hype was about.

Anyway, as I continued to lurk ECF it became crystal clear the happiest and I mean HAPPIEST people in these forums were either ProVari AND Reo users.
Before I knew it, I was soaking up everything ProVari.

On the morning of my purchase from Provape I found a B&M store that had 2 in stock--I went there (I just had too).
3 things hit me at 1 time:

  1. 1) It's tiny (one cant help but notice this first)
  2. 2) It's heavy (one cant help but notice this second when you have it in hand)
  3. 3) It cannot fully be appreciated until you own one of your own!
The ProVari hype is well deserved.

Well, I jammed all the info I could into my head for my permit test, until my head was plum full. Had to poke some info that was leaking out my ears back in with my fingers! That's what it felt like! Passed all my tests this morning! I was the first applicant to pass the permit portion of the hiring process so I'm first in line for hire!! Yah!!

Now I can let loose all my anticipation for my new vaping BFF! My hubby is gonna want to kill me lol! I'm not a shopper, never have been and I think that's one thing he's always appreciated about me. We have a very decent savings built up because I'm such a tight wad. But.....I can't stop looking/shopping around for tanks (gorgeous beautiful tanks!). I've had to exercise massive self control and not add anything to any shopping carts but oh the desire is so strong. I've turned into a shopper.

I want to try a cartomizer/tank. I've got two vivi nova's, a protank and a handful of t3s'. They just aren't pretty/classy enough for a ProVari imo. Plus cartotanks are supposed to provide a much nicer vape experience, I want to experience that....in style. But man we're talking some big bucks for some of these tanks. The one I want is $59! And that was picking out one of the cheaper tanks! I'm so tempted but I'm forcing myself to wait. I never thought I'd see the day that I would have to pace my spending! Now I know what it looks like on this side of the fence lol! I think I'm gonna force myself to buy one of the basic/cheaper cartotanks while I'm getting the hang of cartotanks then I'll reward myself with a nice one when I finish training for my new job! Sounds like a plan!

Oh and I'm stalking ProVape. My order is still processing! :glare: I'm feeling like a spoiled brat wanting my cookie NOW! Waaah!
