Penny I spent $1000 in 2 months trying to find what best works for me. There is just SO much stuff one can buy and my restraint went out the window from the moment I started adding stuff to shopping carts.

I said I wasn't going to buy anything else for a while.....I lied. :D
Waiting on some more juices now. Just haven't found one I REALLY like.

Smallpenny, if you haven't yet, check out ibtanked for carto tanks. For around 30 bucks shipped you get a nice set up. Lots of colors to choose from and quality pieces. They are super people to deal with too.

Congrats on the purchase, I too am waiting on shipment notice.

Sent from the backwoods of Maine.

Well, I jammed all the info I could into my head for my permit test, until my head was plum full. Had to poke some info that was leaking out my ears back in with my fingers! That's what it felt like! Passed all my tests this morning! I was the first applicant to pass the permit portion of the hiring process so I'm first in line for hire!! Yah!!

Now I can let loose all my anticipation for my new vaping BFF! My hubby is gonna want to kill me lol! I'm not a shopper, never have been and I think that's one thing he's always appreciated about me. We have a very decent savings built up because I'm such a tight wad. But.....I can't stop looking/shopping around for tanks (gorgeous beautiful tanks!). I've had to exercise massive self control and not add anything to any shopping carts but oh the desire is so strong. I've turned into a shopper.

I want to try a cartomizer/tank. I've got two vivi nova's, a protank and a handful of t3s'. They just aren't pretty/classy enough for a ProVari imo. Plus cartotanks are supposed to provide a much nicer vape experience, I want to experience that....in style. But man we're talking some big bucks for some of these tanks. The one I want is $59!...

Congratulations on passing your test!!!

I am all over the 'net looking for deals and interesting things. If you post a picture of the tank you like and tell me what you like about it, I might be able to find similar options.

Just so you know, the T3s won't work on the ProVari without an adaptor, it doesn't have eGo threading.

First off, CONGRATULATIONS on your new Provari!!!

I bought a used Mini 6 days ago and I am loving it.

I know what you mean about the price of Carto Tanks. It's Insane!!!! I am seeing a lot of clear tanks, with fancy end caps selling for over $75, and I can't figure out why anyone would buy them.

I can vouch for the great quality, fit and look of the IBTanked tanks. I have the 19mm ones on mine and I think they look awesome. And you can't find a better tank for $30.

I have bought a few tanks in the $15 to $20 range and while they work fine, upon close inspection, they are not really such high quality.

There is this one guy I bought a custom hand blown tank from at ECC, he makes really pretty stuff at about the $25-35 range. The only site for him I found is his Facebook page https://m.facebook.com/pages/Guanche-Glass/209287929089785?id=209287929089785&refsrc=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fpages%2FGuanche-Glass%2F209287929089785&_rdr

Good luck!!!

Yeah, this is new for me! I don't know how much I've spent, haven't kept track, but I'm sure it's more than I would have spent on ciggies in the same amount of time! I've got a whole list of things I want to buy. I'm doing DIY juice as well and need more bottles, syringes and flavorings and I just ordered two more 500 ml bottles of nic base to stock up just in case. I'd like to get some stuff for my sister as a thank you for introducing me to vaping so that's more stuff. Then there's the stuff I want for myself just cause it's all so cool and I want to experiment with different things! Good thing my new job pays better than my old one lol! I'm trying not to leave the house right now and run over to my local B/M to try the cartotank set up they sell. I'll prolly end up over there by the end of the day!

Thanks Ocelot! I did order the ego adapter from ProVape so hopefully I can get my T3S' to work ok on the mini.

Here is the link of the tank I like...

Inside Out - Blue, White Ribbon (MYCELIUM) Tank

I like it that it's partially clear and has color swirls and I like the "fat" looking tanks a little better than the more slender ones. I thought the white and blue on glass would look nice on stainless steel which is what my mini is. I was thinking a clear glass or white swirl glass drip tip would go nicely. Oi, I love looking at handmade glass tanks!

The tanks from HDV are certainly unique, but you might consider another style for your first venture into carto tanks. If you look closely at the ends, you will see there are grommets rather than end caps. When refilling a tank and changing cartos, grommets are a bit more of a hassle than end caps.

Did you get a satin silver or a polished mini? I have satin, which I like because it is neutral - the color all comes from the tank and the drip tip. If you haven't checked out the "Show us your pretty, girly" thread in the General Discussion thread, you really should. There are lots of ideas for "blinging" your APV on a budget.

I'll keep my eyes open for blue & white sort of swirly tanks and post what I find.

My set-ups are pretty simple. While other people are opting for cool and shiny, mine are in Serenity sleeves and look sort of "rustic," like something from a Renaissance Faire. I keep that theme going with plain tanks, earth-tone drip tips, and when I go out a few little low key charms. I didn't think I would ever use charms, since I thought they looked flashy, but I made some out of things that aren't shiny and I find it fun to spin them around.

The tank I'm using at this very minute is a 19mm standard size IBtanked. I have XLs, which hold more juice, but I like how the short ones look. 19mm is even with the top of the ProVari. I have a clear glass one with regular ss caps and black o-rings - super simple.

ETA: I just realize I have a picture of what I'm using, except right now I have a pale sage green ceramic drip tip on it. The little ring I use for the charms (not pictured) covers the space between the bottom of the tank and the top of the battery cap. The space doesn't bother me, but I know it does some people. It also isn't as apparent in person, the picture exaggerates it for some reason.

Thanks for the info Ocelot. I think I will start out with a tank from IB. Something simple and new user friendly, yet purrrty! :vapor:

That's a better plan. There is nothing wrong with grommet tanks, most of the hand blown ones have grommets, but when you first get into the learning curve with carto tanks it's less frustrating with caps. It's not a very steep learning curve, but it takes a little practice. Using a tank tool (like a SYM) to get cartos in and out makes it easy, but many times the grommets in the other tanks are too tight to use the tool.

She's here! She's so little she just has to be a she, no way a he lol! I'm liking the name Punkin! (I'm really big on nick names, my kids are chugduglets, madee-bees and catamaran, they'd kill me if they were to see this lol!) She is so not what I was expecting. I had an experience several weeks ago with a Vamo and I had assumed the regular sized ProVari would be about that big and the mini would be a tad smaller. So not so.

So yes the size was quite a surprise like so many here at ECF have also commented on. Size was the main reason I didn't go for the regular sized ProVari. I can soooo see a second ProVari in my near future. As a matter of fact I think I might like the larger size better!

I bought the polished stainless and I do like it but I've already got it covered in finger prints. This wasn't the wisest choice for someone who uses a lot of hand lotion. I can deal with it though and I can now justify the added expense of some wraps!

I've had Punkin for about an hour now and have tried a vivi nova and T3S on her. The vivi looks nice, size wise. The T3S however is way to tall for miss ProVari. The T3S is literally just a half an inch shorter and looks crappy because of it. Between the two tanks though the T3S is giving me the better vape. Both tanks are giving me a better than usual vape though. I've got to get a cartotank for sure, soon.

So far my impression of the ProVari mini is that this battery just makes sense. Total sense. It's obviously very well made, no brainer there, every vaper needs a well made battery. It's easy to use. The threading is just as everyone says, smooth/perfect. It looks kick-...., tough yet it has an elegance to it. The display is easy to read and ProVape chose easy to figure out codes. I really like that we have to push the button so many times, versus just a few times, to access the menu, it just seems safer that way.

Little miss Punkin is perfect just as she is. She's gonna have a sibling one day soon though, that is for sure! (And I thought you all were nuts for having more than one lol! :p )

Yeaaa! So glad to see you're enjoying it! I agree, the size was surprising. My first one is standard sized & I was expecting her to be much bigger. My second one...I got less than a month later (yep! Like you I totally had to have another one & I still plan to get another one:facepalm:)...he's a standard with the extension cap. It's a he because it's the satin & he's taller than the purple. Hehehe!! I prefer to take the one without the extension out & about because the size is much better plus the battery still lasts me all day even though I take extras with me.

Happy Vaping!

I only have the one IBTanked and it's also 19mm, standard size. It's wonderful on the mini and I'm going to order more. I can't get that "fiddle with your thingie" down though! Do you have to have the top cap on while the tank is in the thingie? I've been doing it with the top cap off because the cap of the thingie fits on better. Guess I'll have to practice on that thingie!

For tank size, I really like the 19mm IBTanked standard size. I have more of the XLs, but I'm slowly replacing the tubes with smaller ones.

Hehehe! You should be able to have the top cap on. But for me it depends on my carto. I punch mines myself & sometimes they get distorted from being punched. Then it's easier for some reason if I have the too cap off. Oh & I agree with you guys! IBTanked tanks are awesome!

Just so you know, I believe all of us name ours and most of them are girls (at least the minis anyway). My girls are Blemini Cricket and Bounce. I do have a boy on his way: The Black Knight.

You forgot to trademark that Ocelot original!

I'm RICH! mwuhahahahahaha...:p
