lucky you..I miss Nevada!!!

I was in Nevada the first week of July to visit my sister and they don't have any slot machines out there! It was the strangest thing. You would walk into a casino out there and all you would see were Hoovers! Sucked up my moolah in no time flat!;)

I only have the one IBTanked and it's also 19mm, standard size. It's wonderful on the mini and I'm going to order more. I can't get that "fiddle with your thingie" down though! Do you have to have the top cap on while the tank is in the thingie? I've been doing it with the top cap off because the cap of the thingie fits on better. Guess I'll have to practice on that thingie!

I don't have the patience to fiddle with the the thingy. There are lots of ways to fill a carto and I'm always experimenting when I read something new, but most of the time I use this one or a variation of it: The Ocelot Method of Carto Filling (aka The Upside-Down Condom)

This gave me a thought- could you imagine your own theme song every time you take a vape.
Fun thought but I could see that getting old real fast.

The space odyssey popped into my head when I grabbed a knife to cut the tape on the box containing my mini, needless to say I was laughing as I opened the box! I don't think I would want to hear it everytime I picked up my mini though lol!

I watched a video recently showing how to fill a carto using the condom and I thought it was a great idea! I never would have thought of doing that. In the video though the filled condom was placed on the threaded end of the carto and the juice was pushed up through the filler from the bottom. Cool, now I know of two condom methods.

I used more flanged cartos than flangeless ones, so putting the threaded end in wouldn't work for me. I was already adept at doing it wrong, when I discovered it was wrong. La la la la

between here and there
That's a better plan. There is nothing wrong with grommet tanks, most of the hand blown ones have grommets, but when you first get into the learning curve with carto tanks it's less frustrating with caps. It's not a very steep learning curve, but it takes a little practice. Using a tank tool (like a SYM) to get cartos in and out makes it easy, but many times the grommets in the other tanks are too tight to use the tool.

I tried one of those SYM things and just could not get my fingers to work it right. LOL.(it happens when one has RA). So my solution is to use a flexible rubber drip tip to insert the carto into my tanks. So simple for me. It protects the inner 0-rings from being snagged from the carto and once inserted you can pull it off without danger of pulling the carto with it. Just bend it a little while pulling it off. Just a thought for you. I think Madvapes has them for a buck or two(maybe less). I am also a carto tank gal. Have you looked at the bedazzled tanks? She has the whole tank carto glass setup for about $35.00(some less) and is great to work with.

Thank you for the tip, but I've had a SYM for close to a year and am quite bonded with it. If you want to check out me playing "beat the clock" doing a Hot Swap, click on the link in my signature. I do have a little hassle pulling out the SYM in the video, but that was because I was rushing. :)

ETA: I have seen Bedazzled tanks, but I'm tank heavy at the moment - not enough juices I like to fill the tanks I have. :(

Gotta love it when wrong works right! Ocelot in what situation would one choose to purchase a flanged carto over a non-flanged carto? Are flanged cartos necessary for some tanks? This is something I've wondered about.

The only time they are required are for tanks like the Smoktech DCT, which have a groove at the bottom the flange fits into. I don't recommend those kind of tanks anway. I haven't had any problems with them, but they look like something from the dollar store.

I initially got flanged because that's what Baditude directed me to buy when he helped me set-up my first tank (he had yet to be smitten with IkenVape). They were Smoktech (a.k.a. Smok) and performed fine for me. Then I won a tank from Valley View Vapes that came with a flangeless Boge installed. I don't mess with things that work, so I continued to buy the Smoktech for the XL tanks and the Boge for the small VVV tank.

I ended up not liking the Boge very much, but I can't say it was the carto itself. Boge didn't used to be available pre-punched, so the owner punched them, but his holes were too large for my thin juice (70pg/30vg). I may give Boge another try at some point.

Baditude was then enchanted by IkenVape, so I got some to try. I was very interested in the Platinum series, which I didn't realized were flangeless. I also got Mega Fusion, which do have a flange.

Without a flange, there is nothing to keep the carto from sliding up into the tank. It's not much of a problem if you pay attention...of course I didn't. I was refilling an IBTanked, pulled the SLM up and proceeded to pull it almost out of the tank and got a lapful of juice. Other people have had similar epic fails by picking up the mod by the tank. I have them, so I will use them, but I am in the minority of those not completely blown away by IkenVape. I like them, but I don't like them enough to stress over whether or not IKV will have stock when I need it or be forced to be a large number when they are in stock. I'm happy with Smoktech for now.

My username was chosen because I love penny slot machines. I play a couple of times per month and have a blast. I woke up today, got the kids off to school and decided to head over to our local casino for some fun. I had a great time playing for almost two hours on $22 then decided to head home. On my way out I looked over at some three reel dollar machines and decided to take a shot with my other $20 and see what happens. I put the twenty in and was almost out of money when I hit two red sevens and a third red seven with a double symbol on it! I won a ProVari!

I've been stalking this forum for a while reading all of the threads that I would not be a part of *any* time soon. I kept telling myself it would be pretentious for a noob like me to ever consider a ProVari anyway. Like a noob has no business looking any higher than a 1300 mah Spinner. After this morning though my attitude has changed lol! Pretentious? No way! Or if is then call me pretentious Penny!

Those three red sevens paid $400 and after playing another couple of minutes I cashed out at $520!!!!! For a $20 investment! I cashed out that ticket and ran out of there with the biggest smile on my face!! I could not believe it, that will never happen again lol!

So I've got my SS mini/green LED in my cart along with two 350's, two 490's, (will get the charger elsewhere) 490 extension cap, battery box, ego adapter and the Tatroe wide end cap!! All I have to do is proceed to check out. I'm illogically nervous about finishing this $324 process. That's a lot of money, even though I'm not actually paying for it, my local casino is. I keep taking deep breaths telling myself to just do it....this is a lot harder than I thought it would be.

Penny you've EARNED that Provari!!!! I say go for it!!!!

Pretentious Penny has a nice ring to it anyway.... ;)
