Sorry, I just need to vent and you all get to read it.

I have tried to help out two different family members with vaping. My SIL got a box mod, 2 x 14500 batteries, 3 x 510 attys, and several 6ml bottles of liquid and a couple of 30ml bottles.

My BIL got a 510 PCC, 3 batts, 3 attys, an adapter so he could use cartos at work so he got about 6 cartos total and several 6ml bottles of liquid, 3 x 510 attys and some carts.

I figure I put out well over $100 on them. My SIL got mad one day at my MIL and actually threw the stuff in the trash! My MIL saw it and saved it and gave it all back to me. A couple of weeks later Pam came to me and apologized and asked for it back so like a dummy I gave it back to her. She hasn't touched it in months.

I have no idea what my BIL is doing with his but since he doesn't seem to be using it I would really like my PCC back.

You guys know me, you know that I would give my last ml of juice to someone that needed it but it just kills me that I wasted all that money on two people that couldn't care less. I can tell you this, it won't happen again. It's bad when I KNOW i can give this to people that I have never met and I know it will be appreciated and more importantly, it will be used.

I think I am going to start charging family a deposit.

Jules, thats horrible! I would send you the PCC I Have, but I just offered it up to
Vap3rLov3r for her brother!
A deposit sounds like a good plan! lol

I appreciate the offers but I have a couple more PCCs. I just hate ungrateful wasteful people that use up perfectly good oxygen. I would much rather have given them to others on here that needed them and would use them

And yes, I am hitting them up to get them back. I'm tired of them and the BS.

You showed such restraint! I have a friend that I got started..spent "bucks" on her! since she was out of work and wasting money on cigs..this was after her diagnosis of COPD and her 3rd brochitis of the year.
Does she use them? Fat Chance!
What I think is if you don't do the research yourself and make the financial commitment like we did..you don't get into vaping..it's just a toy.

I'm sorry to hear about your ungrateful family hun. I had a much smaller similar situation- but I kind of knew it was going to get wasted. I Just had to try. I sent my brother a USP charger, a battery and a few pre filled carts just so he could try it out (He's bee whining about wanting to quit) he only reported back that he didn't like 'em and hasn't offered to send 'em back. I'm going to TRY to at least get him to pass them on to someone else.. but whatever.

You can't choose your family (Or in laws) but it's horrible when anyone is unkind or ungrateful. I hope you know that at least WE- your odd little PIF family- appreciate everything you do for us.

Sorry to hear this jules, family can sometimes be... err not going to say the word that came to mind, I know its happened to me too , not with e-cigs (as far as I know mom still uses the one I sent her sometimes but she got into the pipes so the 901 is back up I think for her...) but I know some other fam (like my sis) I would not think of sending her one because I KNOW she would not use it or be thankful it is (and its funny she is the one that talked about quiting for years)

Sorry that happened Jules!

My sister just started asking me about them and I recommended a 5V box mod to her and just sent her a ton of juice this morning. I hope she likes it!

A guy at my work also asked about them and I said I would give him a 510 batt, atty, charger, & some juice. Hopefully he will like it, too, but I don't know.

They both want tobacco juices, the guy asked me what flavor I was smoking and I told him mint chocolate chip. He thought that was so weird. He only wants tobacco stuff. Don't know if he'll like what I give him, but at least I tried!

let me play devil's advocate here, jules! i know all you wanted was a place to vent and that's fine because we all deserve to be listened to, but
when you give something to somebody then it is really out of your hands what they will do with it. yes, it would be nice if things were returned when they are not wanted or needed but once you give that should be the end of it.
and don't forget, just because we were lucky or motivated enough to make vaping work for us, it will not do the same thing necessarily for everybody else.
i remember very well all the methods i tried, chantix, hypnosis, welbutrin, patch, gum, and cold turkey. all without success and , yet, plenty of people were able to stop smoking with those.
so, go easy on your inlaws, maybe a hint that those items could be of use to somebody will get them returned
