I have a ton of HoH mechs, ZNA-lite, Sidewinder, and 10 evolv Kick2s. I bought a provari 2.5mini two weeks ago and just ordered a 2015 classic tonight :)

Really didnt need the provaris but if any mod maker is going to survive the FDA....I am hoping its Provape. They only thing I want now is a P3 Kabuki. I have been prepping for over a year and if the provaris give up the ghost I know my DX650s will out last anything.

Just do not leave em for more than s couple of weeks with a battery in em.

Truth. I only have batts in 2 mods at a time. I'm not the most organized person in the world...but for some reason I keep my vape stuff tuned perfectly like my cars. I have selective maintenance skills. I can ignore a drippy faucet for months but my cars and vape stuff are always taken care of. Lol.

I have 2 different shelves on my desk that I keep mods on. One has mods with batteries, the other mods without batteries. I usually keep about 4 with batteries in them. If I don't use on for a week or so I pop the batteries out and put them on the other shelf.

Have you used it yet? I bought one a few weeks ago, liked it so much that I bought two more.

I think they are great mods. A bit pricy, but are built like tanks (the threading is crazy thick) AND have a lifetime warranty.

I generally prefer mechs with locking firing rings, but I really like the Zen stuff and use mine a lot....

I have just the mod in graphite its a older one and it was used, it takes a 18350 battery. Its so small, would love to get a zen atty but I don't know anything about gennys

Problem with a lot of the new school tanks is that you cannot get replacement parts for them.
One reason that I went with mostly Subtank Mini's.

I have preached the spare parts idea to many a vaper...... It mostly fell on deaf ears. I got off of the cigarettes on old skool equipment and I aint scared to go back. I dont own anything that i dont have a stockpile of parts for, except nautilus coils, which I will buy every payday until the supply dries up or the 40% tax gets me:vapor:

I have used mechs with STMs with the Kanger RBA for the last couple of weeks almost exclusively and it really is a great tank. And to your point, there are tons of replacement parts available. I stocked up on o-rings, bases, RBAs and replacement glass from FT and these parts are super cheap and have all fit my 3 Subtank Minis perfectly. I may buy a few more for the future....

Old school! Once the regs were announced, I quit looking at new stuff and started buying more REOs and parts for them. I have a couple older provaris that I kept and an Atmizoo roller plus several kfls, R91%s, DIDs and subtanks with rba sections. Before May, I had fun buying an evic mini, tesla nano, pico and a radius but now, nothing else with electronics. I also have extra bf attys along with 2 and 1/2 liters of nic parceled out in the freezer.

I'm ready.

Yep I coil my STM to work on my mechs. I only use mechs with 510 center pins. I would NOT recommend the STM for use on a hybrid style mech.

And like you I got enough parts from FT to keep my STM's running for decades. Also got bell cap tops and topfill tops for them.
I only use the RBA's and have extra of those as well.
I like my STM's. Vaping one now with a SS coil at 20 watts a nice flavorful vape.

A mix for me, leaning heavily toward old school. Much of my stash was already collected. My mechanical will still be working 25 years from now. :) I added multiples of several mods and RDA's I already owned what I knew I liked and extended the amt of coils I already had for the few different ones I occasionally use to extend the yrs I'd be stocked for. Made sure I had glass and repair kits for stuff I owned to keep what I have working longer if something should break.

Decided I needed to add an additional tank to my collection and after reading some reviews decided to try a Aromamizer v2 RDTA and fell in love so I bought several more along with extra glass and repair kits. Bought a couple new to me, REALLY cheap RDA's just for variety. :) Gave in to peer preassure  and did buy one Kayfun v5 tank. Thought about it, but didn't buy a second since I really don't need it. ;)

I like regulated mods although I didn't own a lot of them. So I tried a couple new ones, liked them and purchased seconds of a couple. Two mods came with tanks. I didn't care much for one of the tanks. I'll use it maybe, but didn't need a second or stuff to extend its life as when it dies no big deal. I did like the Mello 3 mini tank so I bought a second tank, glass, extra orings. Any never used mod or tank or RDA I only purchased one to see if I liked it before purchasing more of the same. Three months was plenty of time to be able to do that. ;)

Buying for my grandson was a bit different then for myself. He's only vaped for abt 15 months. He prefers clouds that I don't require. He still likes trying new stuff and enjoys unique stuff, while I only rarely feel that need. He had a couple mechanicals and we added several more that I'm sure will last forever. His stash needed 100WT+ mods as that's his preference right now and needed variety so he'll have different stuff to try and stay vaping happy. He's welcome to use lots of my old school stuff but most just isn't what he will want to use long term. Added multiples of tanks he knows he likes along with extra glass and repair stuff and seconds of RDA's he knows he likes and extra orings and screws. Bought a few new tanks and RDA's to let him try and if he likes will get more of them in the next few months.

Just curious as I see lots of "stockpiling" threads but it's hard to understand what most of you are trying to accomplish long term.

Personally, I went more old school and bought things that I believe will last for years/decades. Lots of 15w Provaris and tons of mechanical mods. I have a few iSticks from when my wife and I started vaping, but haven't bought a high wattage or recent release mod since my 200w Snow Wolf last year. No Picos or RX200's for this guy.

I do have a good sized prebuilt Nautilus coil stock for Nautilus/Triton/Kabukis, but my plan is to build on the many Kayfun, Subtank Mini, Crown and RDA tanks I own.

So what about you? New shinies and lots of RTDAs, crates of prebuilt coils, old school low power mods, mechs or a mix?

My stockpiling list is right here.

I'll probably have close to 10 mech mods in case the 25 regulated mods (150W+) I have are not repairable.

I'll probably have 10+ Twisted Messes Squared RDAs, 4+ Kayfun 5s, and 4 Aspire Atlantis IIs(which I do not use anymore). I prefer RDAs b/c I switch flavors a few times a day.

I have nothing older than Sept 2015 when I started vaping.

Good point on the hybrids. I have lots of mechs but only have one (SMPL clone) hybrid. I am honestly a tad gun-shy with the thing. I know what I am doing, but honestly a atty pin resting on a 18650 kinda freaks me out so I don't really use it much.

The 510 pin on the STM is too short to be safe on a hybrid and it is a sliding pin so if the RBA is not screwed down good or using a factory coil and the rubber grommet compress just a bit it is hard short city on a hybrid style mod.

My stockpiling began a long time ago. Ever see the movie the Grinch? I started haunting the classies buying up vape stuffs that people were moving away from, like RSST's, IGO atties, ProTanks and coils for them, ZAP atties, Kayfuns, all kinds of used things that still work just fine but for way below new prices. Also the closeout sections on vendor sites were a happy place for me to scoop up the shiny things that were from times past. This strategy allowed me to get probably more stuff than I will ever run out of for cheap money in the end. Being a 7-8 watt vaper, there was a lot of things available as folks moved "up" to the juice gobbling lower ohm higher watt set ups. I am LOL' ing right now thinking how I will be happily vaping ten years from now in the same way I am accustomed to today, and at the same time I have a sad, for anyone who may not have the same opportunity that I found to walk away from the burning stick of tobacco jutting from my lips. Old school for the win...

Old school for me, mostly Provari's, a Reo, several Pico's for my try something newer. Several Nemesis clones a bunch of Kayfun's and some newer RTA's to try and older style drippers. Have a bunch of Cartos and Carto tanks and 2 Sophia's. I'm set for a long time :) I went for tried and true and long lasting for mod's.

I still buy new stuff, but honestly, that's more for my entertainment then anything else.
My stockpile of go-to stuff was already done a year ago. Two original Flash e Vapors, 4 fully compatible clones. This is my all day atty that I trust. No leaks, no dry hits, the thing just works. Super relyable. Plus its built really well with little to nothing that can break.
I have 7 regulated devices and 1 mech mod which I haven't used and don't plan to. But you never know.

Exactly. When Bea wanted a MTL vape. Everyone was saying to get the Kayfun Mini V3.

I suggested Kayfun lite plus because tge o rings, tanks, screws, 510 pind, and insulators were all available.
