On the Mountain Oaks Vapor site, it says that the Cyclone can be used as a dripper or as a bottom feeder. It doesn't have AFC tho.

Right, BF but NO AFC on the Mtn. Oak site. But...that is good for those who want to put it on a standard Reo. AFC only fits on the LP Grands. So, yeah, for some of us, the non-AFC is the better choice ;).

Not having used one of these, I'm assuming that the juice comes up thru one of the posts, and since there is no hole in the bottom that excess juice would get sucked back down thru, that you need to be careful sqonking so as not to flood it?

Not really, the hole is in the post but it works pretty good. There seems to be some suction at work helping it. Unless one were to get really completely careless, it worked pretty good for the week or so I ran it before getting it modded with a lower post hole.

I have the Divo, the little sister to the Cyclone. I believe the BF hole is exactly as it would be in the cyclone. It's slightly above the deck, but I've noticed no flooding issues. There still is a slight "suck back down" effect that happens, like on the RM2. It's not as much, but it still helps regulate the quantity of liquid. I've only once (deliberately, to see the effect of the over-squonk) got the juice to leak out of the air hole. That took ALOT of work to do that, so I'm confident that the Cyclone will be similar to the RM2 as far as squonking habits.

ETA: Super_x types faster than me. Yep, what he says!

Same results here, I ran one for weeks before adding the lower hole.

Just an FYI for the poorer among us:

If your in a pinch, and handy with tools to convert it, there is a Chi-clone out there that goes by the name YK1. It retails for about $10.

The deck is a 1:1 (it's concave like the real thing) but the cap looks slightly different. (less swirls and not as deeply engraved, it's easy to differentiate between the two)

I'm not sure if the fusion drip tip fits, but the Vicious Ant AFC cap does indeed snap on nicely.

I'm a big fan of the YK1. The volume of the chamber is smaller than the Cyclone. It vapes somewhere between a RM2 and an Igo-S IMO.

I'm glad I bought a Cyclone too as its well-built and just a good solid design, but I prefer the YK1 at this stage. It seems there's a lot of good atties and we each have to find what suits us and our coil build - just like we select our ADV juices, drip tips, mods, personal deodorant, you name it ;) The grass isn't always greener but sometimes it is :)

Vintage vapors in Tennessee has bottom fed cyclones. They don't sell em thru their website - you just call em and order them. Their number is : (865) 315-3837.

I inquired with vicious ant on their page and they directed me to them so I contacted them and confirmed that BF's are in stock :) $65 :)
