Well, it's been 69 days since I quit analogs:)...and I really don't have any support system other than you guys, so i thought you guys should be the first to know. I plan on trying out that Insanity Workout program. If all goes well, I would like to follow the two month plan to the letter (Including the eating regime) I think you out to know that I'm 200 pounds and extremely lazy...I think my ideal weight would be 180.

Anyways just wanted you guys to know how god awful scared I am...

I've lost over 20 lbs in the last 3 months by cutting out soft drinks completely, cutting out junk food and actually cooking, and getting on the exercise bike 1/2 hr 4 times a week.

Generally, you don't need to get on a fad diet or program, just make rational, sensible lifestyle changes and commit to them.

I looked at the nutrition plan, and it looks like a solid one, with 5 meals a day...I think the important part it stresses is eating REAL food:)

You may want to start with a less intense workout if ou have never done or are starting over... I've been training soldiers for over 13 years and have seen a lot of injuries from guys/gals trying out the super intense workouts without being ready to do them.

Try power 90 or the ten minute workout first.

I would love too, but I already got the program sitting on my desk...(sacrificed e-juice money). To be fair, I'm fairly active (Volleyball 3-4 days a week)...but that's probably not enough. I think the best I can hope for is to just focus on proper form above all else. I'm not going to sugar coat it though. I'll probably pay for over-doing it.

Good luck Tony. Keep us all updated on your progress/struggles/frustrations etc along the way :)

Tgoode is absolutely right - junk food and soda are a toxic and bad mix. Completely empty calories that give zero nutrition is a big contributor to weight gain. I have a weakness with one type of junk food myself so I limit myself to 1 hazelnut chocolate bar a day or less. I should really avoid it completely but I can't help it

We'll be here for you through this :)

Just a tip with insanity, you can easily cut back the intensity at the beginning, if u can resist the ' challenge' of going as hard as u possibly can. For your first few workouts try to resist that and if u concentrate on the form and expect to go slower than the people in the video, you'll be able to comeback back the next day without crying .....much...lmao. I was able to do the whole program as set out in the schedule, and although I had been working out before I started I wasn't (and still am not) in super duper good shape. It did start to bother my shoulders after awhile.....but that was a month in, not right away.

But of course this is all just my humble opinion and experience with insanity. Good luck!

Congrats on yout 69 days, and good luck on the diet program! I certainly need to go on a diet myself, but like you, I'm lazy, and furthermore weak-willed and absolute crap at denying my body things it tells me it wants. I know I need to go on a diet but I can't seem to work up the energy to work out a plan, much less start on it. Let us know how it's going. :)

Congrats and I'm in the same boat as you... funny how quitting smoking and starting to work out again go hand in hand. Just quit almost 2 weeks ago, and started P90X2 yesterday - I've been through the original P90x twice and part 2 is kicking my .... even after just the first one! Feels a lot better than being lazy and a smoker though. WIll keep up with your progress as long as you post it up! Keep it up Tony!
