How would you like to see a version of
The Saber Touch

Without showing any threading by the ends?

How would you like to see

The Saber Touch

Have a Variable Voltage Option?

Would you like to see a Shorter (3" Stubby) Version of

The Saber Touch

Which would take only (1) 16340 3.7v Battery?

All versions would still have The Touch Sensor Switch that is designed to last a lifetime.
All versions would be as sturdy as the original.
All versions would still carry the 5 Year Warranty!

Of course I do not want to copy anyone's ideas, but I've had so many requests for these types of options. And, of course, it doesn't mean they will come to creation. Just throwing out some thoughts from what other people have requested.

Your thoughts and ideas would be great!

Now is that what I want! as if you did not KNOW, LOL, But a Variable Voltage Option, and a juice feeder is really all I need extra.

SL, can the end caps be smaller? I think you answered this but I cannot remember. Different color would be nice, I am not big on shiny PVs.
I use those endcaps for a couple of reasons... I always liked the look, and they are large enough to not have a juice well to prevent dripping down the tube. Actually, the caps are about the same width as the whole body of the SB. As far as color... I still need it to of conductive material, thus using brass for the best contact. One of the options I've looked at is to Plate the caps chrome. But that is a very expensive process. I'm still looking at other options though.

Yes to all of the above! No threads,3.7 and chrome end caps. Very nice. Now are you making all the new ST's being ordered with no threads showing or can I order one like that.

I hope to be adding the "No Thread Showing" as an option. I'm still going to keep the original version.

I think silver end caps would be nice but I'm too cheap to pay much extra for them, say $10 which means I'm not a good target audience for that product.

OTOH I'd pay the same price for a stubby version that took just one 16340 or 18350 (which would be even nicer) as for the full sized version.

Colored endcaps with no threads showing would be great but I understand that isn't workable with the design you now have and the need for a conductive material.

But that leads me to my next suggestion/idea. I thought of this almost as soon as I was using the mod. Why not just have 2 'switch' spots. In an above/below (vertical) arrangement instead of the need for a metallic, conductive endcap? I don't have particularly large hands for a guy but I'm sure my thumb could bridge a pair of switches. I hope I'm correct in the assumption that the existing 'switch' is just an insulator (the black bit) and a conductor (the brass bit).

For the Nickle Plated caps, I would only charge like $2 extra. I like the idea of a "2 sensor button", but then problems can occur. I make the sensor button large enough to not have anything set it off, even if you have the Shiny version. Using 2 buttons puts them too close together meaning that if liquid got between them, it would go off. At least with the powder coated versions, there is a large distance between the sensor and the other connection making it much safer... and that's why I designed the touch switch any way. To make it much safer to use and to carry in your pocket.
But, thanks for the suggestion.

I understand the concern about liquid bridging the gap between 2 sensors but that's really the same (less distance actually) as liquid bridging the gap between body and sensor, correct? I.e. if one is careless enough that a 2 sensor switch could be activated with liquid they'd also have activated the switch of a 1 sensor version with a conductive body, correct? Since the 2nd sensor would be surrounded by insulator it'd actually be further away from the other sensor than the sensor would be from the body?

So I'll offer my 2 sensor version suggestion again. Perhaps I'll pay extra for my miniST to be made that way ;)

Re: Nickel plated ends, I thought you claimed it was expensive. Perhaps it was another way to make the ends 'shiny' like chrome plating you were talking about and I just confused the 2 ways?
