Thread cleaning?

Recently bought the Halo Triton and love it, using only cartos right now but still great.

But I'm getting an oil buildup in the 808 threads of the battery from the occasional errant drop. I know I need to clean this regularly, but can anyone suggest a cleaning agent and more importantly an implement. A cue tip simply will not get to the bottom of those threads.

Any help appreciated.

I use alcohol and toothpick to scrape pit any junk.

I use a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol to clean everything - threads on the batteries and tanks (or in your case cartos), the contact points, and even the batteries themselves. Works great and evaporates quickly.

I use isopryl alcohol on both battery threads and the tank threads as well.

Just avoid getting alcohol on the clear plastic portions on the tanks.. I have read that it can haze them up.
