Yesterday I broke the tank of my ego AIO.
Since then I'm using my husband's that I bought for him (he has way more willpower than I do). I need to replace it, but do not want to go back with an AIO system. I would like to be able to replace a tank if I break it. Knowing me I will break many tanks in my future. I am not ready to spend a lot of money on a system. I would like to be able to pick up something local under $50. Any suggestions? I'm clueless on units. I have looked around at some online stores, but I'm not sure what I'm looking at or even what I need. What I like is based solely on price and looks. TIA for any suggestions.

The Eleaf Pico mods are very cheap$$. I love them. The work better than most mods twice the price. For a tank look into the Aspire Nautilus 2. The flavor is great on it with many types of coils you can use from. (Coils are readily available) It can take some abuse to.. its built very well. The glass is well protected if that's a concern for you.

If you are like me an like to break stuff, cant go wrong with kayfun 5 rocking the steel barrel. As dk99 pointed out it really depends on what your vaping preference is as it dictate what tank is right for you. Tootle puffer to cloud machine, its all how you find vaping pleasurable to you and what keeps you from not smoking, you might have to go through a few setups but you will find what works for you, best of luck.

If you liked the AIO, there is one possible answer.

1. A box mod. (Doesn't matter - anything, as everything does 75w, not that you'll need it)
2. A cubis tank with
  • the same BF 0.6ohm atomizer heads/coils as the AIO
  • the very same drip tip off your AIO.
I call it my "I like the AIO but can't be doing with the shortcomings of that type of device" kit.

(The shortcomings being battery life and tank size...)

Easy. :)

Idk about the cubis, never met someone who liked it. Honestly the number one tank for someone new is the nautilus, it's responsible for so many people quitting. If you want something built a little better get the kabuki or something else that uses the nautilus coils.

The Pico though is fine for the mod. Evic is another option.

Well I don't know if they are still available but I'm sure you can find them on Vapecrawler and that is an Evic VTCmini for a mod. Joyetech has done a lot of updates and if you choose to try your hand at Temperature Control, these things are great, I have 3 that I got for Vapocolypse which I don't use but just did the most recent update and it amazed me at how well it worked in Temp mode with SS which is what I use. For an atomizer a great foolproof one for beginners is the Nautilus full size, You can get them from Huff and Puffers for $19 including a spare tank. They hold 5ml of juice so long lasting. I think the VTCmini is around $35 at My Freedom Smokes and I believe it includes and atty. Never used that one but it is a good little 1 battery mod to start out with.

Out the box it's a disaster. With the right coil choice and drip tip it's effectively the same as the AIO.
That's why I'm suggesting it. Better capacity, top fill, wider power range, better flavor than BVC.
But of course nobody believes me as everyone sees it as a failed subtank (which it is) and the 0.5ohm coil is as close to vaping catastrophe as ever invented.
Honestly, I hated it then the penny dropped one day staring at an eGo AIO.
