Nicotine absorbtion from a Higher Voltage E-CIG [Archive] - Vapers Forum

it's mentioned on this thread from another forum, but it's just someone saying that they read about the molecule size, so nothing to really back it up.

If you just google nicotine absorption you get how nicotine from cigarettes are absorbed by the lungs where it isn't the size. But there are certain conditions where that can happen having to do with ph factor.

Here's an older thread from here where it is discussed and you'll see two viewpoints - TBob and markarich159 followed by Kate and mark's comment: "Until actual in-vivo testing with e-cig vapor on human pulmonary tissue is done, this will remain unresolved." pretty much sums it up for me. Some studies show that there is some lung/alveoli absorption, as with nic inhalers, and some not.

Well with pg 18 mg was to much for me and I got a head ache. Now I'm at 24 mg with vg and I can't tell that theres any nicotine at all. I was reading that people didn't get th when they added pga to a none nicotine liquid. So I thinking that the pga would bring the nicotine out. I'll go to the store and try it then report back.

98% of throat hit comes from two things: heat of the vapor and level of nicotine. PGA, PG vs VG, etc accounts for the other 2%. There have been many posts over the last two years where a vaper lowered their nic level or switched to all VG liquid but still had good throat hit by using a better battery PV.

So if you want to maintain a good throat hit using lower nic levels or all VG liquid, I would suggest switching to a good 5 volt or variable volt PV.

I know about the acrolein thing but I'm willing to put up with it until a study tells me other wise. I might go to a different store and see if they have the 150 ever clear. If that doesn't work then I will try the 5 volt thing. I don't understand about different atomizers and mods so I will have to study more. I ran out of nic juice so I can't do any thing more right now.:(

You don't have to worry about acrolein unless you're using something pretty nonstandard to vape with. Vg breaks down into acrolein when it reaches 280 degrees C. I couldn't find the link offhand, but somewhere someone measured the temperatures that standard attys reach, and they weren't anywhere near that. They came close when burning dry, but not when liquid is present.

Try LR attys. I vape all vg - 20% flav, 20% vg nic, 55%vg 5% Vodka = 20 mg/ml nic. PG leaves a weird taste on my tongue so I stop mixing it with my juice. I get TH off reg attys but not consistent. LR attys especially the 1.5 I get a more consistent TH and mad vapor production. Right now I am testing a 1.8 LR cuz my juice will break my 1.5 attys in 2 days and takes 2 days of vodka soaking to fix. (even that don't work all the time) But the bottom line for me is that LR atty works wonders with my VG juice.
