Hi guys! My name is Joan and I have a hopefully simple question. My boyfriend is vaping the wismec rx2/3 with the aspire cleito 120 tank and it burns his throat every time he vapes any kind of juice, whether it's high nic or low, and pg/vg ratio isn't the issue either as he has vaped 60/40 and also max vg, all with the same issue. But when he vapes my rx75 with the baby beast tank, regardless of nic level, or pg/vg ratio he has no issues with throat irritation.. Could it be his tank bothering his throat??

Welcome @Cressmm91 and I hope you enjoy your stay!

You basically answered your own question in my humble opinion because he can use your RX75 with no problem! So what coils is he using? What mode and power is he firing it at? ECF has some very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful members so I know you will find the answers to solve the problem! Simply firing a coil in the wrong mode and can produce unwanted results.

Good Luck and Vape On Safely!

He is using it in wattage mode at 70 watts. His coil is the only our local vape shop had, 100-120W, 0.16Ω

Well Joan first thing I suggest is he needs to try it lower and/or start off lower and work his way up. I am currently running my Baby Beast with the Quad or X4 coils at 30-35 Watts even though it is rated for 40 to 100 watts. Found the sweet spot working my way up and I see no reason to push it further. Just my opinion and I hope it helps solve the problem.

Thanks we will try that. He did try vaping at 100W and as low as 60W to no avail either, and the lower he goes on watts, less flavor. So getting a different tank is probably what were going to do seeing as neither of us really care for the aspire cleito.

Well you can't rule out that the coil or atomizer is fried because it was primed correctly and broken in slowly. A hot harsh hit for me means time to change the coil. One burn destroys coils in my opinion and there is no saving them.
He has changed the coil twice now, trying to rule that out also lol.all in all the tank just doesnt do it for him, low watts=no flavor and throat pain, high watts=decent flavor and throat pain lol so he's settling in going for the cloud beast. Heard lots of good things about that one.

Welcome and glad you joined. Sounds like the Cleito (if salvageable) needs a round of experimentation to lessen irritation.
