Tight Draw on Kanger T3

Just got a Kanger T3 in for my eGo Twist. It's fantastic in every way except for the draw - without the 510 adapter, the draw is extremely tight. It hits and produces great vapor, but it's super tight.

When I throw a 510 adapter on it (something that I should not need to use), the draw is absolutely perfect.

I noticed the airflow holes in the T3 were pretty small, so, like the idiot I am, I drilled one of the holes out about 1/64" and it made absolutely no difference.

Long story short: it works, just not like I'd like - I'd like the draw to be as it is when I have the 510 adapter on my eGo Twist (not airy, not tight, just right).

Is there a specific battery these clearomizers are designed for? Are there different modifications I can do to the clearo or the battery to make clearos like these draw more productively?

Thanks in advance.

I have the complete opposite problem, my hits are really airy so much so, that all I get is really dry, flavorless vapor. I am using mine on a twist also. Does your twist have air channels cut in the crown? If not, that is where your problem is coming from.

I have tossed my T3 Kangers in a drawer. I have a mod coming in soon, I am hoping the flush fit on the top of a larger surface will fix my issue. When it is flush mounted is when the airflow holes come into play.

From what I have been reading (after purchase of course) the T3 is the most troublesome of the Kanger line. When they work, people love them, but there is lots of "other" opinions.

Go look at what Dave did.
How To: Fix your leaking Kanger T3! - YouTube

I have not rebuilt the coil yet, still kind of new to all of this. I plan on it though. I have removed "flavor" wicks and flipped the top rubber cap, without much change. Well it started to flood with the wick out.

I am not throwing these things away, they are going to be my long term experiment. I will make the damn things work!

I have the too airy issue using the MT3 and MT3S. Not that major an issue, covering one of the 3 holes helps enough to make it vapable to me.. yet, for my wife, she loves the airy draw..

I plan on trying that when I can flush mount the thing. Right now it is sitting on an eGo battery so the whole bottom is the air hole. Which I think is my biggest problem.

Tiny notches for air flow on the crown of the eGo Twist, right at the top - I feel like if there were holes lower down (through the threads on the inside of the battery), I'd be getting the airflow I'm looking for; however, I'm not destroying my battery on a whim.

You never can tell, all this stuff comes from china.
Have you tried backing it of the threads a little?

I have, which in turn does loosen the draw some - though still not where I'd like it. That being said, it's becomes way too loose on the battery.

May be a lose/lose situation here :(
