I made two 3 strand
coils and was just wondering what I can do to make them tighter and not so loose when I put them I my RDA. I'm using 28 g kanthal on my plume veil 1.5. I did nine wraps and have to .3. it doesn't look horrible but I think I can make it tighter and cleaner. tried to upload a pic but it wont upload
Take one strand of 28 fold it in half. Use a drill bit to make the bend. Then take the third strand and line it up with the bend. Grip the strands a hold inch ish from that end with pliers. With another set tis the small section tight.
Wrap around your drill bit. Use a little extra care here to keep the strands as flat as you can.
Eventually you will be churning em out without the need to adjust.
Until then, If there's any not flat, Grab both leads with a single set of pliers and pull it tight. This will suck those misaligned strands down.
Twisting the small section at first makes it so the strands move as one making adjusting easier.
With parallels don't push the coils around much in the RDA for centering as you will just unflatten the.
Nine wraps and .3? You have to be using a tiny diameter. Try a larger diameter and less wraps. Will be much easier to fit onto the RDA. 7/64 7/64 3/32 are my go to diameters depending on deck space.
