Is there any chance of getting a slightly taller Tilemahos tank and mouthpiece I suppose... By slightly taller, I mean 6 or 8 mm... Clear tank too...
The reason I ask in this particular thread, is that initially I never really got on with the atomiser - but thought I'd give the springomiser a try. I'd previously found the flavour and vapour to be very muted and I rarely used it.
But, since the springomiser, and watching the videos more that once, flavour is now superb, though vapour is still a little muted (might be my juice).
Anyway - I now love my Tilemahos, but am finding that my 21 mm V1 doesn't hold enough juice. It sits on my Esterigon, waiting for VIR, after which even more I'll be wanting more juice capacity. So - the only way is up!
A taller tank will sort that out...

There was a larger SS tank for Tilemahos v1, but it but it is not in stock currently :(

I got my springomizers today and I'm not sure. The taste is not quite right. My first build so maybe the next one will be better.
I also like mine airer but don't have a 9mm inside diameter fat washer and cannot get here in Cyprus to try imeos trick for better air. This is a problem for me.
Just have to see how the next build works out

Here's a shot of the different versions, minus the springomizer as they are in use ;)

So far so good with the springomizer! Been using them for almost 2 days now and they are working great!! Flavor is the same for me!
Another fine job Imeo!!! :toast:
Thank you!!!

a quick observation... i tried to make a parallel coil like Imeo does in the video but putting 2 springs together and trimming them. i got a coil that was around .6ohms. i wicked it, primed the wick, and took a a few hits off it and noticed it tasted harsh and borderline burnt. i opened my juice control all the way and was still having the problem. i took the tank and mouthpiece off, primed the wick again and fired it to see what the coil was doing. some of the wraps started to glow red. i fiddled with the spring a bit and repositioned it making sure in was in the posts properly and that no ends of the spring were touching the housing. i again primed the wick and fired it (while blowing on the coil) and the same thing happened, some of the wraps started glowing red. i'm not sure if did something incorrect, but i haven't had any issues like that when running it with just one spring as the coil. maybe some of you are having the same issue, so i just wanted to put it up here.

Really Ariel, what was it called? Do you remember?
While I'm at it - what's the difference between v2 and v2 plus?
I always assumed it was just that you could fit your own tip... But then I saw a V2 solid mouthpiece, so I guess I assumed wrong...

did you clean the spring yaya?
And what resistance did you make?
Also, did you cut totally flush the wick?

Yes Ariel. Thanks. That'd do the trick... Would need a new mouthpiece too I imagine. If it ever becomes available again...

I received my Springomizer yesterday, cleaned it and made my first buid on it, but I'm not sure yet to prefer it to the regular Tilemahos...

I got the v 2+ springomizer, and it's not as airy as the v 2. Maybe that affects my vape more than I thought, because I find the draw to be a bit too tight for my taste.

The really good point is that it's perfect for juice, as I don't have the problems I sometimes had before (dry hits sometimes, with some juices). I guess the bigger chanels are a real plus, and the 2.9mm internal diameter of the spring (I coiled at a 2.5mm diameter), and I ude Fiber Freaks density 2 for my wicks.

First, I'm a bit disapointed with the springs, as they're said to be aroud 1.2/1.4 ohms, but I can't go above .7/.8 ohms with the ones I got (tried 4 out of the 8 I orederd...). So it's a it low compared to what I'm used to.

Moreover, I'm a bit surprised with the efficiency of the coil : I usually coil my Tile from .9 to 1.1/1.2, depending on the mood I'm in when I recoil. So, my sxeet spot is around 1 ohm.

Now, with springomizer, I'm between .7/.8, so 25% lower.

But surpinsingly, It's not that hotter, and vapor production isn't that much bigger.

So, what concerns me much is that I don't really see the interest of doing lower coils if results in terms of vape are lower too?

Maybe that is only due to airflow, but I'm not sure. I'll have to try the more airy trick to see if that plays a role, but first build ain't that gorgeous for me...

Buying it from you for €5 was just a joke :)

I know, I know, I was joking, too! :)
And I'm not selling anything! :D

This is certainly a wicking problem

[...]

Use less wick, open the juice control more

It probably is a wicking problem, indeed.
Anyway I opened the juice control a lot, almost at the limit, and.... yup. It's ok. Still not on par with the standard Tilemahos for me but way way better - no strange taste at all.

The spring may discolour by hear as steam said again but its clean after an ulrasonic bath and ready to go

Yes, obviously it gets discoloured, ultrasonic bath was the first thing I tried.
I just hoped to be able to get it shiny as happens with Kanthal wire; it's not a big issue I suppose, as long as I get it gunk free.

I just have to relearn that balance between wicking and flooding.

It's true, maybe it's just about changing habits a little bit.

Hey Imeo, thanks for the video suggestions! Really appreciated!
I will try to find a proper oring and try as you showed, for sure.

All in all I didn't give up on this and I plan to update other GG atomizers, too, when the other springomizers become available. It's too easy and quick to build this, and that is very important to me, even crucial.
I know how to make coils, they work fine, but sometimes I'm just in a hurry, I'm tired, I don't want to mess around with wires and pliers, and screws - you know, all that stuff.
Two evenings ago I was cleaning the Penny V4 coil and by scrubbing I broke it - fine. Let's make another one - I broke the wire. Ok... Again. Wire broken.
...
You know these moments when nothing goes the right way, yes?
Third attempt was ok, changing a spring would have been way easier.

Actually, kale mou, I was so excited to try it out I forgot to clean. Right now I have springs and update in the ultrasonic cleaner. I think I cut wick flush but will be more careful with my next build in about half hour..
Resistance ~ 0.7ohm

bbr, if you want to go higher in ohms, put only 2 threads on the one post and 2 on the other post. Or one thread to every post :)

We were amateurs all these years Lo Zio and we learned to make coils with bolts, screwdrivers, wires, to be careful when we put wick inside etc. These days are over. We live in 2016, not at 1950 lol. It was about time to find the right way for the coils
