Well I have had a chuck since about March and absolutely love it. It is a bit big, but I live off the long battery life. I travel a ton so not having to recharge my battery every 8 hours is a big plus. My batteries are starting to die and they just don't seem to last as long. I figured I would look at some new pvs before dropping money on some new batteries just to see whats out there.

I'm thinking about switching to maybe a higher voltage so I could use dual coil cartomizers. Battery life is a big one for me. I've had a chuck for a long time so size isn't a huge concern for me. I have looked at the provaris, but am not really keen on dropping $180 on a pv. I'm also not a big fan of the box mods. I would also prefer to stick with my 510 threads.

So whats out there? Any tips will be greatly appreciated!

There's a boatload of pv's out there for you.

If you're looking at 18650 batt mods, then there's everything (pretty much).
Silver Bullet, Maxi Roughstack, Precise, etc. With these mods, you have the option of 2 CR123A (3v each) for 6v vaping. 2 RCR123's for 7.4v vaping. Or a 4.8v NiCd for "roughly" 5v vaping.

On the VV front, there's the Buzz Pro. Infinity Pro's coming out soon.

I'm sure there are others with opinions. I really don't know what to tell you. There's nary a bad mod out there. Just a matter of what you like.

For long life, I'm guessing any 18650 mod will do.

Good luck.

The Chuck is a good rig and if it's working for you why look for a change? If I remember right, the Chuck uses an 18650 for 3.7v. Since you want to try HV you could just buy a pair of 3.0v 16340's and stack them for 6v. You won't get a long runtime with them, but you'll see if HV works for you.

I don't know which threads you're referring to that are worn out, but perhaps the manufacturer can repair it for you. I've got a Silver Bullet and have been using it pretty much daily since about March too, and if it were wearing out I'd see about getting it fixed, if that weren't possible I'd just buy another one. You might consider doing the same with your Chuck.

If you want higher voltage, a GLV2 for 5V. Awesome PV and the batteries last me about 3/4th's of a day.

However, if the chuck has been working for you, do you really want to spend the money for something else when new batteries would be cheaper in the long run? If you're just wanting something new, greatlakesvapor.com makes the GLV's.
