vaping for a month now and have thankfully kicked the analog habit.
I started out with a pair of ego-c's and 900 twist batteries. Work great and has good flavor but won't get me through the day on juices. Purchased a pair of KPT's and really enjoy being able to go all day on fluid now. Only problem is the KPT's don't taste right until voltage is turned up considerably higher. With the KPT's, I find that battery life has become more of an issue. I purchased a Vision spinner 1300 in an attempt for longer battery life.
I have decent battery life now but find myself fiddling with the voltage frequently throughout the day to maintain the flavor.
I suspect this is where an upgrade comes in.

I don't mind spending the money since the ex-analog habit will pay for it in no time.
My needs are pretty specific though- I need something portable that isn't as big and heavy as a flashlight.
The Provari looks too big but haven't seen one in person. The Mini could be doable but will it get me through the day on battery?
I realize this is rather subjective but I don't want anything any longer than an ego-c with with the 900 twist battery but this is where the weight factor comes in. The Provari may not be any longer but I suspect will weigh 2x as much if not more.

Suggestions of items that may fit my needs would be most appreciated.
The are quite a few vape shops here so I can go investigate some suggestions in person. Only the Provari will not be accessible for local purchase/check out.
Thanks.

Your physical size limit inherently limits the battery capacity. No device that I can think of will fill the bill. My suggestion is to simply get a few more of the device you like so you can carry enough spare capacity to get through the day. I do that with stick batteries since they're small enough to use hands free when I'm busy. When I'm not busy, I use a Vamo, now that lasts all day and then some with a 3000mah battery but is quite a bit bigger and heavier.

I generally only change power when I change devices, they do vary a little on coil resistance so that's about it. The output of the Vamo seems to remain very consistent all the way to the end of the charge life. I will say it is a big device, say about an inch in diameter and nine or so inches long with a Protank or T3 on it and it is heavy with an 18650, but, to me, it's worth it for the long battery life and performance.

When I started vaping I wrote a long diatribe about how I just wanted something like a cigarette and nothing that looked like a high pressure relief valve for a steam vessel, now I use it all the time, but I do still use those auto stick batteries a lot as well.

Bigger battery = size+weight. If you need VV add another inch or so. I think a Provari is about 4in. without atty. That's not that big. The weight comes with the quality. Hard to get one without the other. You should at least check it out.
I think Smoke tec makes a plastic bodied mod. Don't know if it's VV. but the weight savings should be there.
I use a stubby 510 cart on my mechs. It's less than 1in, and weight is a non issue. The whole unit is less than 4in. with a 18350. But, you need to carry extra juice to keep it going. I think you can find a plastic mod in that size also. A 18350 might not have the battery life you need.
What about taking an an extra spinner along. That seems like the cheapest, most compact way to go.

I can't vape outdoors as much as indoors so I was using my ego batteries for outdoors and my vamo for indoors . But I ordered 18350 batteries I'm planning to use my vamo short mode for outdoor and long mode for indoors. Since i started wraping coils my other plan is to order mechanical mod for outdoors.

Perhaps this size comparison will help.

All the mods look bigger in the photos here's a sigelei zmax v3 in 18350 mode and 18650 mode next to an iPhone 5 and a business card with a dripper and drip tip. image.jpg image.jpg

I like the 18350s when I'm out and about, but theybdontnget me through a whole day (I only vape on my breaks, no chain vaping at work) and the 18650s when I'm at home or in the car so I don't have to worry about battery life.
I would recommend something with variable power like the vamo or the zmax so you can set the wattage and then put whatever resistance atomizer on top and get the same vape quality. Also sometimes the coil will change resistance as you use it more, then with variable power you just set the wattage to your liking and it changes the voltage for you. The provari is great but it's also quite an investment, once a long time ago I thought vaping would save me money...

I have been loving the Vamo And I use ego C as well
As far as fiddling around
I do that because I switch tanks and different juice sometimes require different setting'
but when I use the same tank for a wile both devices are consistent

as a side note when I used Cwist and two ego all 3 needed to be charged every day

Vamo 18650 bat last more then a day but it is a lot bigger

If you go the mod route, you can always get a small mod (i.e. one that takes an 18350) and then bring an extra battery with you. Most mods are not very big when they are in the smallest size. I can't see you going through 2 18350's in say a 12-14 hour period unless you were doing some intense vaping. With the Provari Mini, I think it takes an 18350 and then you can buy an extra tube for an 18490/500.

My out of the house vaping item is the Smoktech Pipe Mod. It is mechanical, so as long as I make sure to use a low resistance clearo and bring an extra 18350, it lasts me the day.

I too like a smaller form factor. I really like and recommend the iTaste VV v3 by Innokin. It is about the size of a stand ego battery (maybe a little longer), and has VV, VW, Ohm meter and puff counter. It has an 800 mAh battery that is charged via micro USB, and can be used as a pass through. It also has ego cone threading which is broadens the topper possibilities. Not to mention, you don't have to fuss with batteries and battery chargers. That's just me though.

I was in the same boat as you with upgrading. I wanted something small and light, but I really couldnt find it.

I ended up ordering the sigelei zmax v3 and use it in 18350 mode without the spring so I fit the 18500 in there. But honestly, I always grab my twists to go to work and when out because the vmax is 2x the weight. So I mainly use the vmax at home.

The twists (900mah) are just much lighter and smaller to carry. So I just ordered 2 more twists (4 total) and take 2 to work and it gets me through the day.

What kind of tank/clearo are you using? I think that might be your problem, because I have been using EVODs with my twists and have not experienced diminishing flavor from them.
