Worked when I clicked the text link at the top , just not when I clicked the "Play" arrow in the middle. Interesting idea, if it could be executed properly. Love the Drowning Pool song you've got playing with it, btw

Could easily be done if enough people band together.

Think about the hipocracay of it all. Ban an obvious safer way of life and keep the killer on the loose. I think it's about time the American people had a say in it all, and not let a bunch of sell outs in Washington do it for us.

I would be interested in hearing what a vaping attorney has to say about the idea. Surely we have one on this board who can shed some light on the mechanics of such a class action suit.

Not sure of the mechanics to it, but I don't think it's a hard one to file. Right now, as it stands, we are denied a safer way, and the government is willingly allowing a known killer to be sold and excluding all other safer ways. I think it's about time that the people spoke up. Even if you don't smoke, there is second hand smoke. PVs do not emit second hand smoke.

THIS is what the government wants you to do, because of the $$$ in revenue and taxes made, and not because it gives a sh*t about "second hand smoke" or the deadly effects. In fact, their method of trying to develop "safer" smoking via the FDA tells us they want MORE people to smoke, and not less.

It's time for the government to be held accountable for their actions (and lack thereof). The sad fact is most Americans care more about who wins on American Idol than what their own government is doing to them. 9/11 changed that for a few weeks, but now, it's back to status quo. And the government loves it.

It's time for action. Class action, that is. ;)

Try it again, it seems to be working. Unless ScrewTube deleted it. Not surprising if they did.

If it doesn't work for you, try this alternate URL

Time to file a class action suit against the FDA Pit-Tube - Get drunk and video yourself

I run Pit-Tube. I don't delete or censor ANYTHING.

Ah, thanks.

I did try both routes before. This time using the hyperlink above the video worked, but the arrow inside the video box didn't. Go figure. Off to watch the video now. :)

I totally agree with the concept, however I also think the mechanics of such a lawsuit have a great deal to do with how far it will go. From a legal standpoint, knowing who to sue and on what grounds are key and they might not even be the obvious grounds that you brought up. While we laypersons may be able to wade through the mechanics and come up with something that might work, I would love to see a vaping attorney jump in and shed some light as to the best way to go about it. Currently my right to vape has not been denied, therefor I don't see that I have a lawsuit. If my right to vape was taken away, I would have a reason to take action. It would be good to have a clear and precise plan of action when and if the time comes.

I wasn't sure where to put this and doing another search did not yield a thread... but interesting anyways:

Are Electronic Cigarettes Harmful To Your Health? : Class Action Blog

Attorney's getting ready for whatever they can AND using some interesting scare tactics in their blog to do so. The comments are fabulous and a name or two appear to be familiar.

Ecigs are a threat to the funding of Washington through massive tobacco taxation. They are trying to eliminate that threat.
They don't WANT us to quit smoking. They're counting on the recently passed laws to increase tobacco usage because people are going to smoke more due to the decreased nicotine content in analogs.

It's all about the money, and how much they can get away with taking from us.

Exactly. When you stop and think about it, WHY is the FDA supposedly banning e-cigs? Because they're "unknown"? Yet, they allow a product that is KNOWN (to be a killer) to be continued to be marketed. It flies in the face and defies all levels of human logic there is.

But when there are dollar signs in the eyes, all logic seems to go out the window. Like I said in my video, maybe we should get some of our money back.

I truely think the smart thing for suppliers to do is figure find out which congressmen and powerfull businessmen smoke cigarettes, then send them a free e-cig to try out. This way we will get as many powerfull people on our side as possible.

Already happened. Some senator and Obama himself were both given an ecig in an attempt to quit smoking.

And, Obama's still sneaking off to the golf course every weekend for smoke breaks.

Unfortunately you would get absolutely killed in the court room. If you could find a lawyer to represent the suit the first thing the opposition (FDA) lawyers are going to ask is WHERE IS THE PROF. You would need scientific peer-reviewed studies to back up your claims. As far as I know they don't exist.

Blowing smoke into a napkin isn't going to cut it.

Don't take this the wrong way. I'm on your side. Just trying to point out the reality of the situation. Studies are needed. Both short term and long term. The few small studies that have been done are not likely enough to stand up in a court of law.

I can understand your anger but at the moment it may be a bit misplaced.

I'm fully aware of the uphill battle to it all. :( But when you think about it for a second, wars are not won by people saying "Well, the enemy is just too overpowering, lets not try". No, wars are won by people like General Patton who once said

"No ....... ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making the other poor ....... die for his country"

In the end, this is a war. And this soldier is making a point to make his mark on the goal. In which ever way I can.

God, I love trolling the Government. :D
