I haven't been smoking for long, but I can't stand spending the money on it anymore, it's getting ridiculous for me.

Picked up a Blu-Cig (yeah, I know) not to long ago. Been using it for the past couple days, cigarette free :)

My biggest problem will probably be going out. Because my friends still smoke, and when they smoke, I smoke. Hopefully I will kick it.

If you just stick to your guns and not smoke..the cigarette you finally do try will taste like crap. I was a smoker for over 20 yrs and still hang with the smokers at work. I never crave it anymore ...it is great. BTW you can sure tell who smokes and who does not. I catch a whiff of people now that I have known a while and never knew they smoked ..but they cant hide it now. Congrats to you on kicking the habit.

That reminds me when I quit smoking last year and was commuting and riding bicycle a lot, I could be about 5 cars behind someone at a light and smell them smoking. It is amazing how much you can smell smoke when you are not the one smoking.

Cold turkey is not the best route to cessation from smoking. You have chosen an acceptable method to quit, but who says it has to be an immediate change? I smoked for 25 years, and after beginning with the ecig, I still went through 2 packs of analogs! As your tenure in the vapor community matures, you will find that cigarettes smell and taste friggin' NASTY! Just wait, stay stong and watch and see. Go out with your friends drinking. Tell yourself to rely on your ecig. Don't freak out if you have a smoke because YOU (Not your friends' peer pressure)just can't stand it at first. Go back to the ecig when you're done!
The 1st couple of weeks were the hardest, although, with an ecig in my hand, it has been the most beneficial, easiest, permanent quit I've ever attempted!

Good luck with your cessation and Happy vaping!

If any of your friends give ya crap about using that "fake cigarette", reply with: "My life's getting better. Have you tried getting off those nasty coffin nails yet??"

My wife and I were at Sams club and they had the Mistic ecig for $9 with 2 carts and a charger, we both want to quit so we got them. In the last 3 days i have had 3 analogs and just love the Vape. I ordered a Riva 510 with some juice and cant wait to try what a real ecig is like with some awesome flavor! Hmmm is it here yet lol :)

I had a similar experience, I use to smoke way to much and now only use E-Cigs. Still searching for the right liquids though...

Best way to make sure you dont feel the need to smoke cigarettes when your out and about - Take spare batteries with you and prefil some cartridges or cartomisers. That way you can vape without to much hastle. I like have a car charger also so I am never without.

I found it pretty easy to make the transition, since I opened and charged my first E-Cig I haven't bought cigarettes. I have had the odd puff for 'old times sake' but it always tastes rotten and assures me E Cigs are the better option :)

Here is the hardest part. A ecig will make giving up smokes so much easier the thing to get over is that it is very different. I liken it to food. Say you're really hungry and craving a bacon cheese burger (Mmmmmmm....Bacon) we all know thats not the best alternative so you go with the chicken or fish or what have you. After your done eating you don't want that burger any more. Vapeing is the same, at first you have to train yourself to use your PV and not reach for that smoke which is very tempting because that is what you want. But you'll find that after a few good vapes you don't want that analog anymore. After awhile, once you find YOUR ideal juice/Carto/PV set up, the urge for an analog will virtually disappear. And you will only want your PV. I still find myself having a smoke, but it is rare. Sometimes they taste good, but the majority of the time they are down right nasty tasting. Ive only bought two packs of analogs since I started to vape six months ago. And don't miss it at all. A pack and a half a day before vapeing. Holy crap! That's the first time I've done the math. That's 275 packs of cigarettes I haven't smoked. No wonder I feel better.
