When I find myself in times of trouble, e-cig-forums comes to me, speaking words of wisdom, what should it be?

So I got my government Christmas bonus (tax refund) and I need to upgrade from the ego systems I have been limping around on. Countless hours/days of research and much help from this forum have told me VAMO is the way to go. So I am seeking some last minute advice.

I found it on Free-Cigs.com for $50.99 (+ Free Shipping)! and I am wondering if anyone has seen a better option that I am missing. I am aware there are Chinese sites (IE VaporBreak) where I can pick it up cheaper, but time is of the essence as well. Does anybody know of a US supplier that can beat $50.99 for a SS Rev. 2 at my door in the next 5-7 days? Just thought I would ask.

Also, free-cigs.com has Efest batteries and Trustfire chargers for what seem like good prices. IMR 18650 2250 mah button top for $10.49 is what I am looking at right now. I saw the sale on the 18350's so I'll probably pick up a few of those, but can anyone recommend a better (cheaper) supplier for some solid 18650's? And does button top vs. flat top REALLY matter? They're also selling a TrustFire TR-001 for $9.99 and I know people had mentioned concerns about TrustFire chargers before. Is this model in particular one of concern? Should I look for a different charger elsewhere?

Yes, I realize that if I were to sort through threads for another 2 hours I could probably find some answers myself, but I am e-cig-forumed out for the day and am hoping some friendly, helpful forum members will provide me with some insight so I can get this puppy going.

Also, a whole different ballgame, but I am a fan of DCTs and I understand that with a VV/VW device I can't just pick up any old carto and throw it in there. Is there a particular ohms range I should be shooting for? Or is it really going to be based on my preferences as far as volts/wattage goes? Any suggestions on solid tanks and carto refills would be sweet also.

Thank you all in advance for being as helpful as you always are. Enjoy your Saturday and Happy vaping!

for disclosure, i just have ego type batteries myself. but i want a Vamo.

for the mod you might consider this. VAMO Variable Volt/Watt APV V2

for the batteries, from what i understand you cant go wrong with Genuine AW Batteries at RTD Vapor

charger, that same site might be good. (i have no idea on chargers yet)

and finally from what i've read, the whole point of VW devices is to make it so you CAN throw any old juice delivery system on it, since it will check your resistance and set itself to put out whatever wattage you have set.

Tay, sounds like me. I ordered my SS Vamo from free-cigs. Added the charger and two 18350 efest batteries also and my 510 to ego adapter for my evod and t3's. All from there. Shipped quick and I've been pleased. I ordered my 18650's off ebay. Wanted the panasonic CGR18650CH and they were on there when everyone else was OOS. If you want a SS Vamo and you get it from exhalevapors its the same price as free-cig but with free-cig you get shipping.

Some combinations of VAMO/stacked button top 18350s won't allow the battery cap to screw on all the way. Other than that you are good to go with either button top or flat top IMRs. AW or Efest brands work fine. Also, the Panasonic CGR18650CH's are highly regarded.

I think a smart charger like an Xtar WP2 II or Nitecore-Sysmax i2 or i4 intelligent charger are well worth the money they cost over the Trustfire chargers. I have both the Xtar and Nitcore. The Xtar has been used for a longer period of time in the vaping community but I much, much prefer my Nitecore. Unlike the Xtar the Nitecore-Sysmax does not require the use of spacers, has stronger springs on the negative slider to make a more solid connection and automatically supplies the correct amps depending on what battery is being charged. The cheapest prices for the Nitecore I've seen reported recently have been on eBay.
