Tip for getting your nickel end caps like new

In the last week or so I noticed the bottom cap on my Kicked saber looking rather dull and golden. I was sort of trying not to freak out. I was thinking that the nickel plating was wearing off and the brass was showing thru. I was getting myself ready to contact Sir Lawrence about it wearing out , Ive only had since Nov? I dont use it exclusively, I have another Saber.

I got to thinking, Ive never had nickel so maybe its tarnished? I pulled out my bag of Cape Cod polishing rags and started gently rubbing. I was nervous, was I going to make it worse? Still 10.00 for a new cap was not going to kill me. I noticed the rag getting blackish and then I polished it off with a soft suede like rag. It looks just like new.

So if your lovely nickel plated caps start looking dull and golden dont freak, get some Cape Cod polishing rags.

Great suggestion! I put that polishing cloth around the Saber when I ship for a reason!

yes, that works great. I think a lot of us are so excited when we get them , we dont notice that the nice black cloth is actually something useful, not a pretty blanket.

You make me laugh! That's why I put a simple little sticker on that cloth. It does work!

I actually went ahead and cleaned the whole saber with the cap cod stuff then buffed with your special cloth and it shines like a show room car.
