I have been vaping for over a year now and been lurking here for a while and just recently started to post and reply. This site is full of information that has helped me save money and do better builds but I have not seen a thread dedicated to tips and tricks so I thought I would start one for the newbies.
Post only 1 short simple trick and 1 tip you have come up with to enhance your vaping weather it be for building, vaping or buying.

Trick
Compress new coil to make the coils touch and heat with torch. Once the coil is hot and compressed dip it in water right away and your coil will hold the shape.
Tip
Use the blue rubber gloves, more durable then regular latex gloves and can be used over and over, when dealing with e juice.

There are probably hundreds of these types of threads, but they tend to sink lower in the pages. So I'm always grateful for someone else starting a new one.

My best tip would be to understand that vaping is somewhat fiddly.

You will have some issues no matter what equipment you buy. The answer is not to throw more money by buying something else, but to understand the issue - then address it. 9 times out of 10 you can fix it with just a little patience and a little knowledge.

My best advice is to know what YOU want and are looking for in your vape experience, make a list. Then buy a mod that will deliver everything you want and more. So many start out with a device that does not deliver or meet their expectations. They get a ego because someone said it's good for a new vaper but they soon realize they want more out of their device and have to upgrade . If you know what your looking for in your vape expirence and find a mod that will deliver then you will be more satisfied and in no hurry to need to upgrade. I wish I'd done the list of what I wanted and matched a device with those needs . It would have saved me a lot of money. I went through 9 different mods until I finally found one that delivers and meets my needs and wants. If I would have just sat down and made a list of the things I wanted in my vaping expirence and what I wanted my mod to do could have saved a lot of money and trouble. A example would be if you want to be able to have more control over your vape you would write down you need a mod with variable watts and variable volts, if you think some day you might want to experience more power or newer technology write that down and consider a newer DNA mod. I guess what I'm saying is just because your new, it does not mean you have to start with the most basic simple device. Know what it is your looking for in your vaping expirence and match that with a device that will satisfy you. Also consider what you want to learn and do in the future and see if the device will be able to continue to meet your needs when you learn and grow. If you do this now it will save you a lot of money in the future. Don't sell yourself short. I did this and wasn't satisfied. Try and meet your requirements now and what you think might be your future requirements. You will be more satisfied and won't have to upgrade so often.
