Tired of CE2's Cracking - My Cheap Solution

Being a die hard fan of CE'2 I live with the problems they have.

One that has been a showstopper is the cracking of the tanks however. This can be remedied by buying a tank, but being a tinkerer I had to to solve it the difficult way.

Now I need some suggestions to finish off a work in progress (cosmetics) and a small seepage issue around the connector (mechanical). It is a ploycarbonate tube from a lip gloss (no I didn't use it myslef) with a 19mm OD 13mm ID and 3mm sidewall (that shouldn't crack !)

I was thinking of a sealant for the leak, but what to use ???

a washer, 100%silicone, rubber seat for faucet repair

I am just wondering if clear nail polish (again I wouldn't be using it myself) would work. I know it is brittle, but it is acrylic based, flashes off quickly and would penetrate the gap fairly well.

No, I don't think that would hold up. It looks like you're using some type of grommet or rubber bung at the top, if you have another, you could use at the bottom, would work just like a regular tank, idk.....

It's a punched 5ml syringe stopper. I was toying with the thought of boring out the bottom a bit more and inserting a second grommet at the bottom so will try that on my second one.

I have put a dab of nail polish on the bottom in the meantime and it seems to be doing the trick. We will see in a couple of days.

Have you tried the New CE2's?

Haven't heard of anyone having any problems with Cracking.

Not tried the new ones, but have a box of old ones to use up in the meantime.

2 part epoxy will seal it can be bought at you local hardware store in small sizes and will withstand high temps

new ce2 are great, but you can't beat ss for durability. unfortunately the only place i can find them is healthcabin.

edit: but the capacity is limited. i like your tank mod better.

I will try the epoxy next ... seems like the juice is more determined than the NP, but it is less than 1 drop over the whole day.

Capacity is good at around 3ml and it works reasonably well with the two tubes (inner level stays lower than the outer) so the cup doesn't flood all the time. Still need to invert it before vaping to get the best hit, but I can live with that.

Two part epoxy has done the trick.

Found another added bonus .. since I can alter the height of the centre tube I can change the pressure on the cup seal. Using it vertically I can open it up slightly for better wicking and horizontally I can close it to provide a better seal.

You could get some of the new ones and use the better tubes on your old CE2s, that's what I've been doing, no more syringe cutting.

I did the same as nomo, I had got the new ce2's from gotvapes. They are much better. then i pulled by old ones in to the new tube. Worked great. Also gotvapes was selling a mod glue but everytime i wanted to order, it was sold out.
