Ive noticed that I go through a lot of batteries just sitting here at my computer and thought about getting a 510 passthrough for the one I got from TW.

A few questions I had..

Is the voltage much different than the battery?

Is there a limited life on these?

Has anyone gotten one of the USB battery packs and used it in conjunction with a passthrough?

Can I use the passthrough with a car charger/usb adaptor while on the road?

Thanks in advance!

just noticed i probably should have posted this in the 510 area, if some mod could move it? thanks!

Well with my limited knowledge, they are pretty much all the same and have a 1CR10440P 320 mAh battery that the USB power charges so you don't run off of USB power but battery power. I have found that the USB ports on my computer and monitor don't provide enough power to keep the battery charged so I use an AC/USB adapter. You can also use the USB PT in your car with a 12v USB plug, very cheap.

There may be a few PT's that run at higher voltage without the battery but I think most run at 3.7v and have a battery in-line.

Yes, the USB battery packs can be used with the PT although they should put out about 5 volts.

I just not opened my 2nd PT. The last one I got lasted less than a day. This one is kicking great...man, I hope it keeps working.

I know these things have a very high failure rate...so much that Rocky Mountain Vapor quit carrying them. He said he was tired of replacing them.

I've been using my 510 with a passthrough for about a month - no problems, great vape.

Have you been using it on your computer? Or are you also using a AC/USB adapter?
