The Evolv 200 will support TCR so any wire we fall in love with will be AOK.

"You can use multiple wire types. The only TCR that is preprogrammed is the NI200 however you can add your own

TCR. Think of it as a graph. On the Y axis you have resistivity on a scale of 0.1 to 10, on the X axis you have Temp on a

scale of -100 to 800F. You input different points into that plot to represent the TCR. You can put as many points in the

curve as you like, but the curve has to be ascending. You can save/load your curves to/from csv files, but not as a

preset."

Sounds good but given Evolv's past track record plus a couple of beta testers, I'll skip on this one till December when we all know what bugs it has and if they are fixable.

G has stated many times the scrambled screen was a hardware problem in the screens Evolv used so no firmware will fix that ... Only hide it on each refresh.

I rather wait this time. I have two working TC mods. No rush.

Yep...I'm waiting too. I apparently learn slowly ....but I do learn.

That is pretty cool. Can allow for non-linearity. Nice!

Maybe, time will tell. Why can't manufacturer build tiny nuclear power plants?

Truth it my VT isn't too bad. Just a little bigger then my matchbox but 5000mah

I'm at day 2, 50% charge, 3242 seconds use, 806 puffs.

Is there an easy way to change the battery in the VT?
I have always had this "thing" about being able to do that without the return to sender bit.

Since the Evolv 200 is pretty much designed around a LiPo that's one of my major concerns.
It would be easy for mod makers to make a battery changeable by user...but it would be cheaper for them not to.

sooooo....for many reasons I have to "Wait For It".

Haven't opened it yet so I don't know but there are 4 screws on the top. I did read somewhere that joye put the electronics on top so it might be challenging but as long as you have a lipo that fits, it must be doable. Someone had to put it in there in the first place right?

At least they don't seal it up like some of the phones that almost have to be destroyed to open.

I'm hoping someone like Cloudmakers will make a plug-in LiPo and supply the correct battery configuration so I can have an extra LiPo available if I ever succumb to Evolv in the future.
Don't want much do I?

Wow that's pretty sweet. What's the source of this info? The DNA 200 thread? I stopped reading after g turned it into an JerkEvolvathon.

My only worry is that sounds a bit overly complicated when one only has a single TCR value, as we generally do for most metals. I hope it's easy to fill out this graph with a single linear line.

I hope that not only for our convenience, but also for general usability of the mod - with a Dicodes and an SXK (at least once the SXK has fixed resistance), any user can easily dial in a linear TCR according to values he or she has read on the internet. With the above system, it sounds like only users who plug the mod into computer software (PC only? Mac users quite possibly excluded?) can do this, once they've set-up a much more complicated system. We can share CSV files to make life easier, but 90% of potential users don't read forums to find such info.

Maybe there's an Easy Mode as well, we shall see.

Sitting down, facing forward.
From what I've read so far, the Ni200 curve is built in. It can be operated and used through the onboard buttons like any other mod, TC or otherwise. The "rich" features are available only through the program which is standalone on the PC format. The thing that bothers me is the LiPO battery being the specified or preferred power source. Just when I thought I had found, settled on and accumulated enough batteries yet another comes along. Kind of like wick and coil materials, LOL.

Yes...DNA 200 thread...

Since they seem to be talking about a csv file we could just plot our linear coefficient and input points...but it is a bit of a pain in the axx.

On the other hand if some wire is nonlinear...like the curie temp lies in the middle of the range...we'd be able to handle that...
I just wish they had presets to select...but apparently no.
