Coil looks good to me. Why would you replace a two day old coil anyway?
Atty OTOH, did you machine that yourself?

At this time of year I don't know when my next day off is [place violin emoticon here]

So normally rebuild everything when I do get one but this coil looks good enough for maybe a week

It was just to show how well the torched till oxidised resists gunking so well mate

& No not machined by me :D All my subtank mini bases appear like this in the right light

My present coil is over a month old and I haven't even bother looking at it.

Kinda explains how you're on your last meter of zivipf while I have still 8m or so left :D

;)

BTW, StealthV has now 26g Ti. I'm still waiting for my spool to get here so no direct feedback but it does look good on paper.

haha yeah suppose that does explain it mate

I do need to replace coils when ever I get the chance though at home as on the road is too much hassle

....................................................................

Would not touch stealth vape with a yard stick though

That piece they put out about Ti appears to be the route cause of every argument against Ti I come across

I am not a fan of scaremongers mate and they have not done a fraction of harm reduction as they did harm

Most of my friends that vape wont touch Ti thanks to them :grr:

A valid point.

They did retract after several conversations about the subject so I personally give them a second chance.

Yeah me too although I'm still annoyed about it...i guess part of their penance is the 30 km of crap grade Ti wire they are stuck with...lol!

Ok ... thought I would go check out their site again to make sure my whiney post was just & did not need editing

First thing I come across is them peddling more male cow dung

''It is important to note that there are different types of TC mods. Some of the chips are only set up for nickel while others can use both nickel and titanium. There are vapers who are using titanium on their nickel-only TC mods, you may come across their comments, but they will not work as well.''

Where do they get their info from the tooth fairy

I have used my M Class in nickel mode with Gr1 Ti and it works perfectly

Using the new test firmware in Ti Mode it works fine but will vary temp in a wider range and overshoot TP more than in nickel mode

Used a friends Evic in Ti mode and that decided it preferred wattage mode and had me choking on burnt cotton

Maybe I am wrong & they are right, but from where I am sitting they don't have a Scooby doo what they are talking about

It's a matter of liability.

They won't support Ti outside recommended usage so in case of a problem or lawsuit, they're off the hook.

They got burned when some folks managed to ignite their Ti wire in mech mods many months ago (pre TC era, 34g wire).

From there on, they keep their distance from suggesting materials outside the scope of normal usage.

They changed their position when several manufacturers start offering Ti TC control but they only advocate the use of Ti in those mods, once again, because of liability.

But they could say Ti may be used in devices intended for Ni if correctly done but you do so at your own risk...

This is just more scaremongering really. I see the point about .... covering but this is misinformative it seems to me, and quite unnecessary in the most part...

Yeah, it seems every mfg has failed in implanting a correct Ti TCR curve. I don't know why.

Even the evic VT vapes better Ti in Ni mode than Ti mode.

The only thing I can think of for the poor titanium TC in mods so far is that folks rushed to market to get on top of the titanium coil boom and didn't do their homework. Evolv probably should get credit for not including titanium wire support initially in the DNA 200 and letting us all put in valid data. :)

Really? This is good to know since I just got an Evic. So I should try the ti1, when I get it, in both modes?

Probably a good idea to try both modes. Just set your max temp about 90-100F lower with a titanium coil if you are running nickel mode. You can always increase or decrease the max temp setting to your liking once you see how it vapes with your specific setup.

Yeah. 185C in Ni mode beats 240C in Ti mode.

I also use 185C on the dna 40 for Ti coils and it works great.

That's for 75VG juices. For 50/50 juices, I take off 5-10C as the boiling point is lower and it gets to hot for my taste.

I can understand them covering their a*s mate

But would be better if they stuck to that rather than pages of misinformation which many will take as fact

At a guess their wire come from Vape Mesh as does many UK vendors so maybe a similar disclaimer as they use would suffice
