Hi all.

I just read on the chat thread about the deal to get a free 10ml bottle of Tribeca with orders over $20 (which ends on July 1). I was thinking about ordering sometime soon some replacement coils and maybe a Triton tank or two (I have 4, but imagine that I could always use a few more). I was also thinking about cashing in my points for a free 30ml bottle. However, the order will cost nowhere near enough to get the free shipping.

My question is, what do you feel is a "better deal" - ordering now and getting the Tribeca, or waiting for the 4th of July sale??? Also, does anyone know the details for the 4th of July sale? Thanks so much!

It depends how soon you'd like to get the stuff...I always try to get free shipping and try to get the most amount of Halo points I can for an order. I don't think anyone knows for sure what the sale will be, but I've heard that its been a pretty nice one in the years before..
You can always use the coupon for 10% off juice, but bigger sales, hardware is on sale too, so If I were you, I'd wait if at all possible to get the best deal on your hardware. But it might all just even out in the end, cause you end up getting a decent size bottle of tribecca...LOL , you got a quarter?

Thanks for your reply. I think that you are right that it might all even out in the end. I would also not be ordering any juice in this order, just hardware. Thanks again.

2012's July 4th sale was 15% off everything.

2013's July 4th sale was 20% off ejuice:

Those sales require the coupon code to be entered and coupons cannot be stacked. Where as the free 10ml offers do NOT require a coupon, therefore allowing you to use the ECFTEN2014 for 10% off ejuice with the freebie.

Free 10ml's is worth roughly $8.50 ($.85/ml for 7ml's, and $.66/ml for 30ml's)

1 pack of coils and 2 tanks= $26.48. You would save $3.97 from that if there was a 15% off hardware sale.

Therefore, this is a better deal for the order you are describing. You would have to spend ~$55 @15% off everything OR ~$40 on ejuice @20% off to meet the break even point for those 3 scenarios.

I think you're asking the wrong people. We're crazy in here, and I'm guessing most of us are constantly placing orders. I've been known to place Halo orders 2 days in a row before. :D

But in all seriousness, don't listen to me, I'm a fool who was just let out of work early because of the nice weather, so I cannot be trusted right now. Check out GreenLeaf's math! Now that is a serious answer right thar.

I just did that this week for the Menthol X promo!! Got 2-10ml bottles for ordering stuff I was going to order anyway. Basically, by separating the orders, I paid $3.54 (shipping on the second order) for the 2nd 10ml. May not be a huge savings but...WTH $3.54 for 10ml beats $5.99 for 7ml all day! ~.35¢/ml instead of ~.85¢/ml.

2 orders in 2 days: A rather odd way to show my frustration at not winning a bottle after a few weeks of constant posting in the contest thread, huh?

Time to do it again, I bet you didn't expect a free 10ml of Tribeca to pop up today. :p :D

And then Halo was like:

This year I just know it's going to be 50% off everything!! They have to make room for all the new hardware coming in August. ;)

Thanks so much for your EXTREMELY informative post GreenLeaf! You, my friend, are quite adept with the numbers. I think that I will, in fact, buy now. I think that I'm going to just buy three Triton tanks. I have only four for my two batteries right now, and I figure some more tanks would always get some use. And I've read that they can last for a very, very long time. I think I am going to buy the Kanger T2 coils. Someone PMed me about them, and showed me how incredibly much cheaper they are. Thanks again!
