Newbie to vaping. 1 month off analogs. Using ego batteries with ce4 and ce5 clearomizers. Serial vaper, I drag about 3 seconds, inhale and exhale while still holding the button and drag again, inhale and exhale, and drag again. (Just can't break the analog style of my smoking. )
It seems the clearomizers are not giving me the taste or throat hit after about a tank. Tastes funky too. Wicks look gunky. Changed a new clearomizer, instant throat hit. (Using the juice I drew out from the first clearomizer). So it can't be the juice that's causing it. I've even tried 100pg/0vg and the same thing happens, although the wicks don't look gunky.
I've tried cleaning the clearomizers with
1) hot water only
2) hot water, dry burn, and hot water rinse again.
3) hot water, soak in vinegar to supposedly dissolve the gunk, and hot water again to get rid of the vinegar.
4) steam.
It seems to me that there doesn't seem to be any difference, whichever method I use, it still tastes funky after 1 tank. I've read conflicting opinions on whether I should dry burn ce4,ce5. Your opinions? Reduce, reuse, recycle. So, I hope to prolong the life span of the clearomizers. Or maybe I'm just a cheapo.
In short, 7 clearos in a month (still rotating them around although they taste funky). Natural or unnatural? vaping about 6ml per day.
By the way, please give suggestions on China vendors only. In this FINE city I live in, anything that resembles a cigarette, but is not a cigarette, is illegal. So, it's easier to get my wares from China suppliers/vendors.
Thousands thanks!

) I knew this had to be an entry level design and after reading and reading about clearo, cartomizers, cartotanks, etc.......I knew I had hit paradise in my mind....My wife got into vaping and now we needed some more stuff!!!! I got 2 Vision Spinners, 2 Kanger MT3's, Smoktech UDCT tank........oh and I also threw in 5 more of the Ego tanks. It's only been a couple days, but thank the heavens I bought more of tanks and atomizers. Simple design, reliability......can't say enough compared to the new fangled equipment. I know I may change my mind after more experimentation.but not now!!! Cheap, lots of consistent vape, and mostly...simple for the simple minded.
....its not for silica its for SSmesh wicks that are not easily removed and a true dry burn will burn off all the residue from ss mesh and you will have to re season the top of your wick afterward...i did one today
