To Punch or not to Punch....my DC's in UFS?

I have some Dual Cartos from Bruce over at COV that I'd like to try in my SSGGTS/UFS combo. I've read where others have used punched cartos in other mods and wonder as to pro/cons from field use of punching a DC to use in the UFS.

How many UFS owners do this? Are there pros/cons to be made aware of?

If you do punch, do you punch one or two holes? How far up on the carto do you punch?

I don't have a UFS but in my AVS I don't punch. With other tanks I can understand why punching is required but because of the design of the AVS and even better design of UFS I see no real reason to punch

yea. I'm rather new in cartos, but in my AVS I have put punched xl carto(both sides) and it got floded very quick. And hole is too high, you have to keep your liquid level very high to be above the punched holes on carto. If it's don't get floded that is.

I don't know about DC, but I use single coil 808's that are punched in my AVS and l LOVE it! It has displaced my UFS as my daily setup. You can try punching 2 holes about a quarter inch up from the threads, but I would worry about the top coil getting juice. You could try 1 and see how it comes out, I would be interested to know.

Come to think of it if you slot them you should be fine. There are multiple tank mods that use punched or slotted DC's without an issue.
