to slot or punch, that is the question

I looking into getting a tank and was going to punch my own cartos instead of paying more for the pre-punched ones and noticed some people were using a Dremel to cut a little slot in the carto. So which one is better?

I use a dremel because that's what I have I believe that saddle valve would work well too, I've noticed it doesn't matter how big or small the hole is or one slot or 2 slots anyway you do it it seems to work with a boge carto now the DCCs are a different story I could never get them right I had a lot of over wicking problems even if I use an 18 gauge needle to punch the holes

I have the saddle valve, only cost me $6 bucks at Ace hardware. Its very simple to use, you hear the pop it's done.
