I feared a pg allergy, especially when I already had an issue with VG at more than 30%, break out like crazy, turned out my issue was flavor additives! So watch out what you condemn, it could be an issue with non-kosher vg or additives...just my experience.

This is exactly my suspicion. I started with a 70/30 from Ovale and can vape that all day with no problem. Then tried 100% pg from dekang and felt like crap and got sick. Then tried a 100% VG from dekang and I'm fine however it irritates my throat a bit. Yet I can still vape the 70/30 from Ovale and feel fine.
So now I'm thinking it's the ingredients or flavoring or quality of pg/vg/nic! and not so much the pg/vg ratio.

@cags, thanks for that thread link. Looks like bmwjen is going through the same and noting her research along the way, so I will read through that thread.

I wish I was still living in the US where I could more easily sample the liquid from these organic manufacturers. But at any rate I will give a try on Virgin vapor's organic liquid.

DeKang 100% PG...made me itch when I first started vaping. I went to all VG and slowly worked the PG back in. Now I can vape anything. Usual mix is 80pg/20vg or DKab which is 100% PG.

DeKang 100% pg as well - - constant sinus irritation, nose feels like it's filled with cotton or running continuously, horrible headache.

But, after trying a few vg samples, decided to buy an 80/20 from a well-known ecf vendor and now it seems like my atty's and cartoz are not working nearly as well, ie. some won't last more than a day. (really - 10 attys, 10 cartoz - hard draw, filler won't wick, atty clogged - never had this problem with deKang)

IDK, what I'm doing wrong. :(

I have developed a rash on my face. I am wondering if there is a collation between pg, vaping and this rash or if it could simply be dry skin, though I've never had dry skin in my life. This rash is all over my jaw line and down my neck and its worrying me and my daughter, it looks terrible and it itches something fierce. I really don't want to quit pg because my lungs havent felt this good since I was 15 and pg works so much better in my equipment than vg. However, if its making me sick I guess I should find out before it gets worse. Has anyone else had a rash like this?

Oh, I've been using: 50/50, 80/20 & 70/30 pg/vg ratios.

I just recovered from a massive full body rash that I suspect was due to PG. I am now trying 100% VG ECOpure and am conscious of the flavors and have downsized to 10-12mg. I've been smoking:

ECOpure e-Liquid

this stuff for the last two days and haven't had any symptoms. However, my last experience has shown that it may take a few weeks for them to come. I'm really hoping I won't get a rash from this VG stuff.

I just ordered some ECOpure mix from virgin vapor:

Organically Flavored E-liquid | Virgin Vapor | Electronic Cigarette Organic e-Liquid | Electronic Cigarettes

Key is that not only is the base high quality VG, but the flavors "in an organic ethyl alcohol base" -- not some PG flavor base.

Anyway, I had to go to the doctor for my rash. I was prescribed steroids and it went away after 2 days. I was also itching like crazy.

Good luck.

I was vaping mostly juices from FSUSA (mostly PG, 70/30, 80/20, and some of their specialty juices at 50/50) and Pure Smoker (70/30). Scary thing is I HAD been vaping them for well over a year when I FINALLY realized that some of the really weird symptoms I'd been having for a year or more were because of the PG. It doesn't have to be blatant. My symptoms (great skin started to get worse and worse.. at age 36! Super super thirsty ALL THE TIME) were not something that hit me over the head, and I attributed them to my fibromyalgia. Finally, woke up, realized it was pg, found Virgin Vapor, who does awesome organic really nice thin 100% VG juices.... everything bad went away. Good luck, btw!

I had those pre-filled 18 mg Marlboro carts and DK 26 mg Pal-Mal in the mix when I ran into problems from day one of vaping. I think the DK is 100 % PG. All I do know is I changed to DK 100% VG anything and all the reactions I was having went away. I've been to scared to play with PG anything since. Maybe later on...

I just received a couple of bottles of 100% PG from heaven-gifts brand that I had ordered a few weeks ago. Tried it out just to see how my body would react. As it turns out, no headaches or body aches like I would get from Dekang.

So I tried a few drops of the old dekang juice i had. After a few minutes, I had a slight headache and could feel the onset of body aches. There must be another ingredient they use to which I am allergic. So the Dekang is gonna get thrown out.

However the 100% PG is now severely dehydrating. My face is dry and a bit blotchy red.

I don't know if I am allergic to PG or my smoke-damaged lungs were to blame, I had bad lung pain when I vaped Liberty Flights PG/VG 24mg, various flavors (doesn't say what ratio of PG/VG.) I read the PG vapor is hotter and that could have been the source of problem for me.

Did some research and decided to go with 100% VG, someone mentioned Virgin Vapor Organic VG liquids and I liked that idea so I tried it and I like it! There are some nice flavors, I mostly like Unflavored though, which takes out one more unneeded ingredient. Also she recommended 12mg and I am pretty happy with that; I sometimes add a drop or two of Virgin 24mg or some Liberty Flights juice to bump it up. Liberty Flights has VG Unflavored 24mg that is good too.

I don't know if the flavorings were causing any problem but if you aren't sure, try some Unflavored.
