So.
I'm pretty much a noob at DIY and have enjoyed myself more than I thought I would- overall I have been satisfied with the few mixes I have made, and I thought this recipe was one of the better and thought it might be worth sharing.
First of all, I was determined to only use NET flavorings for my recipes- I just never cared for the synthetic tobaccos. So I did some reading..... And more..... And some more.... And decided that I could do this.
NET flavorings are hard to find pre made, but I was able to find a vendor and more fun ideas in the process. I picked up a couple of flavors from *DIY Naturally Extracted Tobacco, MyVapeJuice.com (awesome, BTW) and the others I have extracted myself from pipe tobaccos (pretty easy and rewarding if you like NET). The downfall to using NET flavors in the mixes? Steeping. The mixes were all "OK" fresh but everything was a bit muted and not really worth vaping just for the sake of it.
Thankfully I had stocked up on my regular vendor liquids to get me through the inevitable learning curve of DIY, and I was able to just forget about my creations for awhile and continue on about my business. Today at work my device slipped out of my pocket and snapped the tip off of the EVOD attached. Bummer? Perhaps, but it ended up being a good thing. Went into the vape box to get a new tank and picked this guy up for a shot in the dark: (Pardon my noobish use of "drops" as measurements)

*T.A.T. V1*
5% savage tobacco NET flavoring- myvapejuice
5% TFA toasted almond
3% TFA vanillin
8 drops EM
3 drops FA vape wizard
6 drops menthol
27ml unflavored 12mg 50/50

2 weeks steeped cap on, never shaken besides initial mixing.

This was one that only got dripped once before I tossed it into the cabinet. The almond was noticeable but hardly any vanilla and the tobacco was barely there, unless you count a wet sock in that category. I contemplated adding more but didn't think it would help what I was going for, so I decided against it. "Patience" I said.
Fast forward 2 weeks and wow. Night & day. A good, light tobacco flavor with a rich toasted almond and light vanilla finish. That is about as fancy as my reviews get and I dare not attempt otherwise.....
The menthol is just my preference and I think it would be good without- possibly even with a touch of cinnamon to compliment the toasted almond flavor.
So that is it. My attempt at joining the DIY crowd in hopes that someone can enjoy my sliver of success and give it a try. A HUGE thanks to all of the whiz-kids here on ECF for all of the ideas and inspiration- I appreciate you all!
