This is the only true tobacco I've discovered. I also tried a Virginia tobacco from the same vendor and it was somewhat tobacco tasteless so I mixed it in with mocha and Creme De Menthe for a decent daytime, office-stealth vape. I was a 40 year menthol smoker so the milder, cocoa/mint works well in non-smoking environments, but I want that true tobacco hit after meals and for relaxing in the evenings. The Hickory Tobacco is so full of tobacco flavor that it actually gives me a little smoker's cough. LOL I'm going to mix a little extra vg to the next batch to see if I can calm it down a touch.

I'll be ordering some of the suggestions I found on your thread as well as a few others I've been eyeing, and if I find another good, true tobacco, I'll let you know. I'll keep a watch out to see if you've discovered some good new ones, too!

I'd vote for Halo's "Tribeca" or Alien Visions "Boba's Bounty".

Both are very nice, toasty tobacco with just a slight hint of sweetness. Some folks say they get a "fruity" taste in Boba's, but I don't find that at all. I get more of a caramel / burnt sugar - but it's not cloying, sweet, or overpowering and doesn't leave a weird taste in your mouth.

Dont listen to that one at all.

BB is in no way shape or form a tobacco flavor.

This thread is a god send as well...the only tobacco flavor I tolerate is Backwoods Casablanca....which is good, but not that accurate.

So many of these places have the ignorant idea that tobacco is sweet or nutty. It utterly perplexes me. They also have the idea that a cigarettes flavor is STRONG...which it isnt.

I want subtle and I want relaxing...not like Im being punched in the mouth with walnuts soaked in honey or like I am chewing tobacco.

...but that being said...try Casablanca from Backwoods...it is really GOOD...it just isnt the holy grail of tobacco flavors that I am still searching for.

I'm totally pleased with my Hickory Virginia but I just ordered a Cuban and a Turkish to give them a try as well. . . small bottles at first, of course!:) I'm not interested in sweet and can't say I'd recognize a "nutty undertone" if a tobbacco has one, but I definitely recognize the aroma of tobacco. A review on the vendor's site recommended the Cuban after stating that Hickory Virginia was his favorite, all-day vape, so I'm excited to see what aromas these two bring.

I'll be back to give my thoughts once I've tried them out.

Happy vaping!!!!!!

Hey Laura,

I just came across this thread and I can say wholeheartedly that I have finally found a kindred spirit. I too am looking for that dry cigarette taste without anything else. I read so many reviews and have ordered so many samples that it makes my head spin. I'll order it and finally get it in and ...bleh....perfume, or chemical. To date I have found the best analog smoke to be the juices from freedomsmokeusa. Purecig, and pall mall are the best from them in my opinion. Another one that I really like is Halo Freedom Juice. It is maybe a bit closer to a cigar/pipe mix but I always seem to come back to it. On Vapensteins website he has a good listing of analog replacement juices. I like his reviews but he picks a lot of stuff out of the tastes that I just don't get myself. I guess my palette isnt that discernable.
I hope this thread keeps up because Im taking notes.

I also forgot to add that I'm also looking for maybe a slightly 'harsh' kick you in the back of the throat and feel it in my lungs kinda hit too. I figure this I can correct when I switch to a VV mod. I used to smoke the Santa Fe menthol mini cigars and haven't found anything to match even closely.

Happy vaping!!!!!!

The two new tobacco flavors arrived today and here's my verdict:
The High Caliber Smooth Cuban Cigar has good vapor dripping at 50/50 but little to no flavor. It'll do okay when I need to vape but my throat and/or sinuses wish I wouldn't.
The High Caliber Turkish Tobacco - STAY FAR, FAR AWAY!!! - It is just like walking into a men's cologne fog and accidentally inhaling deeply. I gave it a truly good try to see if I could tolerate it after vaping the first few drops, and NO, I couldn't. It simply did not get any better, at all. I'll set aside for a few weeks and try once more, but I'm thinking this one is headed for the trash. I would in no way ever offer it to anyone in hopes they would like it . . . just can't do that to fellow vaporer.

I'm back to happiness with the High Caliber Hickory Virginia (that I mix a touch of Menthol Sensation to) and I think I'll let my tobacco trials rest for a month or so.

Happy vaping!!!!!!:vapor:

I ordered some Elite Premium Tobacco juice from Cigeasy, the flavor is Delight. I ordered based on a recommendation from a forum member that likes straight tobacco flavors and he said it was very good and no sweet flavor. Should be here next week, I'll post after I sample it. The shipping is kinda pricey though, will see if it's worth it.

Anyone ever try American Spirits or Pure Cig tobacco from Freedom Smokes?

ZODAS,

Yes I have. I would place both of them on my short list of true tobacco flavors. I also recommend their pall mall and 7 leaves.
Their floavors overall is about the closest I have found to a true analog replacement.

Sold...Ill have to try them then.

I was sold on Moondrops Straight Up due to recommendations but just didnt like it. Tobacco is a part of the process of making it, but it doesnt even taste like tobacco to me.

I always heard freedomsmokes was a good place but it was always daunting because there are literally 50 different tobacco flavors...Im not into buying 20 flavors before I find success...especially when they often are more along the lines of sweet or nutty but still advertised as TOBACCO!

So...Ill give them a try...thanks.

Actually they have several sampler packs and you can order small samples of any of them. They had a few I didn't care for but all in all they are the closest I've found to cigarettes. Another one to try is Halo's freedom juice. It is also a good representation of a cigar/pipe type of vape.

Has anyone tried Gotvapes Flux juices?? Just curious how theres are.
